Destiny Trailer, Gameplay Will Be Shown For The First Time At The PS4 E3 Conference

This may sound bizarre, but I hope it's rated T and relatively low on blood, gore, and other explicit content. It would be in keeping with Bungie's efforts to set themselves apart from GRITBROWN SHOOTMANS 20XX: MILITARY DEATHSPLOSION. I want idealistic, adventurous, pulply science-fantasy, hold the "maturity."

While I still need to see some Gameplay to make sure if I will like the game or not, so far the art, the worlds and the design of the characters are already interesting me. Loving this futuristic setting.

With that being said I really can't wait for E3 to check more gameplay.

Excited to see Bungie working on what seems to be primarily a PVE game, because they haven't put out an above average PvP experience since H2 IMO.

The art looks terrible though. The type of shit I'd expect to get from old sci-fi action figures from a thirft store.

Convince me this won't be a generic dude-bro shooter.
I don't necessarily want an RPG but would love something with heavy lore, dialogue and story
And open world. Skyrim in Space.

I really liked the trailer, even though it was CG/live action. I think this does a good job of setting up the tone of the game as something uplifting, like we're beginning a long climb back to the top, where in halo it was more about the constant struggle.

I really hope they keep sony hands off of the marketing for the game though, if there's anything that sinks great franchises, it's the sony marketing machine.

I'm not a fan of CG trailers, but if Bungie can translate this intensity and sense of team work to the final product, it's going to be amazing.

Regarding a fall release, what's stopping them from putting out a beta that you purchase in the fall for $10-$20? Sort of a halfway point between a Minecraft Alpha and a full-fledged release to get people excited and test what seems to be an ambitious multiplayer structure.

They are talking about how to monetize this game in a lot of ways.

(Or better yet they put out a free beta...)

Well... it is the Moon and Mars.. Other areas will certainly look less barren.

you should check out the official art for this game, it looks breathtaking

Was just going by the video so I guess that's fine, I won't let the artwork sway me just yet until I see what it translates to.
Though this looks promising.

Though I don't think that there is any art out there that will put a positive spin on the moon, though realistic it just makes for a bland grey landscape.

Really hoping the 360/PS3 doesn't hold this game back.
but it will :(

the game has been in development for the last 2-3 years for the 360 and ps3, the game is primarily designed for these consoles, and while it's going to be on the ps4 and xbo, you can't expect them to change focus to that hardware.

they released a ton of art for this game a while back, it all looked super amazing to me. I will post some of it here later today.

Has any part of their pitch so far struck you as "dudebro?" If not, why would you demand evidence?

Next stage: Sony acquiring Bungie

betrayalon complete

How do you actually write betrayalon? I know it's not like that

nope Bungie already bought themselves back from MS they will stay independent from now on......

Huh. This is pretty big actually... there's also rumblings of Battlefield 4 showing up at their conference so they'd have a good FPS showing with that + Killzone.

I also think that it basically reaffirms the belive that they have the exclusive DLC on lockdown. These days you showcase 3rd parties if you some kind of deal going with them.

It's not strictly dudebro. But I don't want really generic sci-fi either. I don't just want a guy on some planet fighting bug monsters. I want a world to explore.

Bungie has been pushing a Star Wars-like science fantasy approach for as long as we've known about the game, so I'd say you've got nothing to worry about in that area.

I'm not necessarily expecting open world, though. It'll probably have huge semi-linear areas like the Halo series, maybe with a dash of Guild Wars thrown in.

it's probably going to be very similar to halo odst with hub and mission like structure.

am I the only person that thinks the CGI in that trailer was kind of MEH?

I am still really excited but that trailer looked off.

Perhaps they didn't want to overdo it so people won't be disappointed with the graphics of the actual game.

I wouldn't be surprised if this trailer was prerendered using in-game assets.

Interesting.
I wonder if PS is the lead platform for Bungie? Or if this is just because of Activision?

Good trailer.

It could be that Activition is just spreading out how they showcase their multiplatform shooters. Call of Duty is showcased at the MS conference, Destiny at the PS4 conference. Could be more to it than that, but it might just be Activision not putting all their "exclusive" eggs in one basket.
