I cannot believe there are people in this world who actually expected to get this game. I went in knowing full well that worst case scenario my bank or Best Buy would cancel it and that if it worked it was a nice bonus. :\

Shit, I thought I was in the clear when they charged my card for $0.01 each time, but I just got a cancellation email for one of the orders and I was refunded that penny.

Right, I'll take the chance then. If I like it enough (and don't get too chickenshit to play) I'll just grab DLC down the road. Maybe even a console version.

I'd probably just get the game on consoles instead then if that happened, less out of boycotting and more that it seems to be a massive fucking headache dealing with getting something again that was refunded/taken from you.

You should read up on that. They fired Geoff Tate last year, and got Todd LaTorre for the new album. The new album charted at #23, and it is considered a return to form.

I mention it because the whole situation went soap opera nuts quickly. Kind of like how this thread is getting haha

I feel like a quality consumer, got the game for $0.01, buy the Ranger mode DLC for $4.99, totaling 5 bucks for the full game proper.

I don't get some people in here. This is obviously an error of some sort, but people are rampaging with full entitlement, demanding Best Buy to honor the sales.

If it's a big faceless company it is OK to do this?? If you we're to sell something on eBay or Amazon and mistyped the price, how would you react to some ass coming at you with "honor the sale!!!".
In the end in some IT-department some poor soul will have to take responsibility for this, and all the people demanding their keys for a cent are basically shitting on that guy.

Why can't people make mistakes without other people trying to take advantage of it?

Eh, I would've been happy if I got my order completed, but I didn't. That being said, I'm not going to complain to best buy for not honoring their fuck up. Anyone who has is a sad sack of shit.

I do not. I played it extremely safe because I was worried about my bank calling me up over 1 cent purchases.

You seemed to have had a better chance if you used a real card and ordered before 10 PM.
