Seahawks have a streak going against them, since 2006 a team from AFC/NFC divisions who played the NFC east has reached the SB,

2006 Colts won the SB
2007 Giants won, but the Patriots played the NFC east they made the SB.
2008 Steelers won the SB.
2009 Saints won the SB.
2010 Packers won the SB.
2011 Giants won, but the Patriots played the NFC east they made the SB.
2012 Ravens won the SB.
2013 Broncos Reach the SB.

So outside of the Giants/Patriots, all the other teams who played the NFC east won the SB...

Again. If you look at was happening at the time, it was more about diverting cash into the new stadium rather than to Elway and TD if I remember correctly. They still got paid the same amount of money, it was just deferred with interest, in order to drum up cash to pay for the stadium.

Here's a little quote from some rag called the Washington Press:

"The investigation resulted in the discovery of undisclosed agreements between the club and Broncos players during the same period [1996-1998] pursuant to which various players agreed to defer certain compensation in exchange for a commitment to pay interest on the deferred amounts," Henderson said in the statement. Obviously there might be a bias in the story because it's Sherm's brother, but he said that at that charity event Sherm was shaking hands with everyone, including a few 49ers players (Kyle williams etc). He tried to shake Carb cakes' hand but Carb slapped his hand away and said something, er, inflammatory and people had to restrain him. Later Crab said he was drunk.

I dont know how much is fabrication or not, this story probably doesn't need any more fuel lol

I overheard this morning on NFL AM that Crab was talking trash to fitzgerald at that same event and he told him to stop but crab kept going at him and he's been after him since. I might have misheard though since I was getting ready for work.

people talk shit and have off-field altercations all the time. i think Dick went a little overboard all things considered but hey he made the game saving play so that's what happens!

i did see the pic with kap having 2 open guys on the play. that is tough because on one hand yes he could have gone to them. on the other hand if you feel like you have a good 1 on 1 matchup (and crabtree had sherman beat if kap throws that to the corner) then why go elsewhere? but on the THIRD hand, i'm sure you can nitpick every interception a QB made in NFL history and make the argument he should've gone elsewhere.

as i said yesterday i had little problem with the throw itself (crab had a chance to make the play) but i think you go away from dick in that scenario

I'm tempted to say more than one reciever and/or Tight End would be a higher need than OLB, but I haven't a clue how linebackers are going to be handled. Last year could get away with Palmer without much problems.

Well if I remember that quarter correctly the 9ers seemed to go away from the run. Kaep was gashing our asses with ihs legs but he insisted on drop backs and his throws obviously didn't end well for him. I still can't believe Kaep would even attempt such a throw at the end with two timeouts and like 25 or whatever seconds left, dink and dunk us to death!! Then again I don't know anything so for all I know that play was the best option!!

Lando field is the original name of Packers stadium. They changed it after that hack Lucas ripped it off for Star Wars.

I was actually thinking that as well. We need weapons at WR/TE and if Megatron goes down, or our draft pick goes down, that puts us in the same position of relying to much on one WR. Its what we`ve done since 2011 ever since Titus Young left and we had a slew of injuries. We need a #2 receiver and a #3 of course but we`ll see what happens with Burleson.

I really hope Joe Fauria can develop into some sort of slot TE like Gronk, Hernandez, Jimmy Graham, Vernon Davis etc.

He started last year with minimal practice so hopefully with an offseason he can improve off an already impressive performance.

Well, to be technical, I appreciate the Jaguars for one year. Patriots didn't beat the Broncos pretty much the entire Elway duration. When he choked against them in 96, it was pretty much the best case scenario for us.

Patriots fans are supposed to hate the Broncos probably more than anyone else outside of the Dolphins. Problem here is I like Peyton more than our quarterback, so that is the current dilemma.
