Yeah, indeed. No doubt it'll still be pretty damn nifty to deploy these in a corridor and let the heavy weapons guy go to town.

Or why not just shove a bot behind the shield? Could be annoying.

Just finally finished the video. It looks beautiful, obviously. with regards to recoil, the only part of the video which gave me hope was the big ol' LMG with the red scope. When he zoomed in and took a few shots with that he had to burst fire - I just hope more guns follow suit.

I'm talking about the movement and pasing of the gameplay. I'm assuming that you're refering to the movement at least when your talking about slow-mo?

I've never played Killzone before. It looks kind of like a slower sci-fi COD. It looks pretty, but I don't really care about graphics.

There is no need for that. The multiplayer already looks better than every other game at launch and is only rivaled by Infamous: SS as far as what we've seen on PS4.

This looks better than Crysis 3 to me.

Nope, it's not that, I meant the character movements, the way the guns shoot, the everything.
Battlefield feels fluent, this game (or any Killzone) does not. That's it.

I hate to be that guy... But can someone explain the appeal of Killzone multiplayer to me? It looks so slow, lumbering, and just bland. What makes it feel unique and fun? And maybe specifically, what are you seeing in that Shadow Fall gameplay that looks good to you?

I don't want to derail the thread or anything. I honestly want to be sold on the game, haha. I'm getting a PS4 at launch and would love to get this game. It looks gorgeous, but the gameplay seems like snoozeville to me.

Wow, just noticed something very nice graphically.

Look between 5:28 to 5:32 and you will see how rain drops splash after they drop. Not sure if it's smoke or just a splatter of the same drop, but it looks great. Nice little touch.

Well, i think its too early to say much about Killzone: Shadow Falls when it comes to how the game feels. A video doesnt necessarily tells anything how the games controls and feels.

Yeah, that is what i was refering to as well. I dont see how Killzone is closer to COD when it comes to these things though, because you move quite fast in COD (depends a bit on which weapon you use), and the way the gun shoots are also quite fast. Battlefield feels a bit slower than COD to me, both when it comes to movement, how quick you get the kills, how fast pasing the gameplay is (COD has like instant respawn in many modes) etc.. That is why i think that Killzone feels closer to Battlefield than COD :)

It's very pretty, but most of the guns seem like bullet hoses. In my experience, in games like Halo and Call of Duty (and others, but those would be the most well known), you know exactly how many bullets from each gun will down someone, and each bullet firing is very distinct, even in most automatic guns. This leads to tense moments in each firefight where you know that the person shooting you is about to kill you, and you need to land just one more bullet on him.

This seems more..hold reticle over enemy. Hold trigger until dead. I'm sure it'll still be a good time, but I don't think it'll hold people's interests.

Warzone mode makes the game.

The constant changing of objectives combine with the gunplay to me was fantastic..
 
Too much Cod/KZ3, not enough KZ2. Looks cool, though.

I'd like some more recoil and/or a few more shots to kill, some of those guys looked like they were going down in 3-4 shots from 50ft away.

Also, seems like the KZ3 cloak-and-sprint-right-into-an-enemy's-face-and-1-hit-kill-him is still in effect; hopefully, they at least make you break your cloak after a kill like in KZ2, instead of the infinite cloak/sprint/melee from KZ3.

I like being more slow and heavy than CoD. KZ2 multiplayer was very fun with all the mission and different classes.
 
I like that there's more health. Gives you time to react and strafe with proper gun skills if you get flanked.

Edit: Comparatively to CoD, sorry guys.

Movement speed seems to slow for strafing though.

It seems like there's been a lot of compromises to make the game more accessible since KZ2...there's a positive and negative to this but I hope the game has a clear vision in regards to what its trying to accomplish with SF MP.

It's the gameplay that's actually really good, and it feels very rewarding.
Besides that, the overall visual style, the sound design and the stunning graphics make this a no-brainer for a launch day shooter.
Also, Warzone is the best MP mode there is.

You sound like you genuinely don't like shooters, because if you think this is snoozeville, then I don't know what to tell you.

The lighting and effects in this game seem so far beyond anything else I've seen for a PS4 or Xbone launch game. Ridiculous!
 
The video is pretty crap, it's just too quick. It looks like he might be about to die, and then it just cuts to the next kill. I can't believe this is officially from sony... So hard to tell what the game plays like from this, just a montage of quick, mostly close range kills.
Surely if Sony is putting out an official video it will be a full game of Warzone or something. Dear knows were Ramjaman got this from. Possibly shagging the Sony coffee lady.

I want to see a full game, a player actually traversing the map, battling guys long range, possibly getting killed himself. This video is duff.

Game looks epic though. Can't wait to see more/play it. But unfortunately this looks true

I seems like Killzone 2 in terms of customization, spawning and the match types, but Killzone 3 in terms of gunplay philosophy.

Obviously that's an improvement though.

Reflections, reflections EVERYWHERE!

Killzone is definitely not one of my favorite franchises ever or anything but I've always enjoyed the feel and the weight of the weapons, cool looking enemies and artstyle help too. The gun models are pure perfection here, reload animations are heavenly.

This is where I'll get my standard FPS fix for sure. The single player mode sounds more open with multiple objectives and side objectives which is something I've always liked so I'm down.
 
Doesn't anyone realize that the score never changes from 0-0? It's likely a game against bots set on easy. No wonder the player barely dies and just goes on running around shooting from the hip.

Guns, map and visuals look top notch though!
 
Come on guys, we get it. People want to make money off YT revenue, it's not new. Let's just enjoy the footage.

Fuck that. I hate this practice enough when people turn on ads for official material, but now hearing that these twits actually do it with videos from other sites... that's bullshit on a whole new level. The fact that they are also considered by Google to be important enolugh partners to turn on unskippable ads just grinds my gears.
