I know, I'm really just thinking about whether it's worth all that hassle, because I'm not wholly convinced by this retailer so far..
Did amazon ever accept too many preorders? Or are confirmed preorders safe?
EDIT: Hell I just realized I got 5 pre-orders up for the First Print Edition now (including: gamesware.at, game.co.uk., amazon.fr) I'm probably gonna cancel some of them later.
Amazon replied to me and told me to wait for the e-mail which should arrive in the next 24hrs.
This e-mail better be more than "lol we mess up description, you order again, no discon"
Oh wow. What a fuck up.More info: availability of the first print in the online store was unintended. They're now trying to figure out what to do next. Either they uphold these pre-orders or they cancel them for everyone and just call the two people on top of the list for each individual store. I really hope they don't do the latter (as that would be a slap in the face of those who preordered it), but we'll see.
So again, just because you pre-ordered it at gamemania on time, doesn't necessarily mean you're getting it.

They told me that too, then sent me an email telling to get stuffed :/

First Print Edition available at Fnac.com (French retailer) for 69.90.
Seems that they post to Australia, but I have no idea how reliable they are. Does anyone here have any idea?

They are a large brick and mortar chain of multimedia stores, present in France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium...
So they should be pretty reliable, but if ever you need to get in touch with their customer service you'll likely be treated like many of those bigger chains treat their customers... like a number.
Cheers, well I've made an order. Wish me luck.
I often purchase games from them and have not experienced major issues with their website. I don't know how they perform with overseas deliveries though.Seems that they post to Australia, but I have no idea how reliable they are. Does anyone here have any idea?

You just have to hope that they have actually enough games in stock. I wanted to purchase from them the collector's edition of FFXIII a few years ago. I was late to order it (the game was released the same day as my order) but they mentioned that they had enough stock. However, after a few days they still did not have despatched my game and the customer service told me that they were actually unable to fulfill my order because they were out of stock. They offered me to either cancel my order or buy the regular edition with a reduced fee on the OST to compensate.
So, out of curiosity I wrote to Amazon.de customer service.
The rep told me that my preorder was safe because I ordered directly and didn't have to be put on the waiting list. She added that they automatically know their availability and that they can't actually take more orders than they can complete.
Not sure this works for Amazon.fr the same way, since they took preorders for several days. But luckily .DE stopped selling after 1 hour.
Finally! A place that ships 2 Canada!
Question, When does FNAC charge? at shipping?
It worked! I talked to amazonUK via chat, was very very polite and said I was confused by this whole situation and made very clear that I ordered this under the expectation to receive both and was reassured that I would get this. I also brought up the preorder price guarantee. They asked me to cancel and order the Special edition then amended the price as you see in the image.
Very happy I stuck with the order and didn't jump ship to ShopTo immediately.
Thanks very much for this.
A few days ago I cancelled my original order with Amazon and bought the new one.
I emailed them with a copy of your screengrab and explained the situation, and they very kindly refunded me the money. Nice one Amazon.
after all?
Its been about 21 hours now and no e-mail. They did end with "if necessary, please set up a follow up" which I guess means chase them if they say nothing?Amazon replied to me and told me to wait for the e-mail which should arrive in the next 24hrs.

Yeah, it's been about 36 hours since my 24 hour countdown started, so I don't think they're sending anything. I'll have another try with Live Chat tonight, but if it doesn't go anywhere I think I'll just cancel and go somewhere else.
Don't know if this means anything, but I noticed my pre-order with EB in Australia now says BAYONETTA 2 SE WU. The actual listing still has the old box art but I wonder if we will be getting this after all?
Already gone...For all those who missed the First Print sale from German retailers,
computer universe started selling it for 70 euros, or 67 with the voucher code cu2014.
Not sure they ship anywhere else though.
I just got an email from buecher.de stating that they didn't expect that many preorders and will first clarify how many they'll actually get and then cancel the later orders.
