Intel 320 Series 40 GB SATA 3.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid-State Drive Retail Box = $100 now, probably $50 on sale? Why is this $100 to start with? It seems mighty out of date.

edit: all gone in a minute, am I missing something here?

Man, I kept my entire cart full through the weekend after loading it up with some DVDs and CDs I saw at Best Buy and thought would make nice gifts (easier to just order from Amazon and ship directly to my parent's house then wrap there). Not a single price change at all for Cyber Monday on any of them. Cyber Monday seems like a complete non-starter this year.

My fiancee really wants a Kindle -- was hoping something other than the Fire would have at least a slight deal today.

Anyone have any knowledge of Vizio Blu Ray players? Are they any good? There's one on tigerdirect for $40 (normally $100) but I don't know if it's on par with more expensive ones from Sony or Samsung. Not having luck finding reviews.

bitch I'm taking calls.
BIG FAT ASS DUD so far for me.
Hey Rob did you ever sort out a coffee maker? Saw some pretty cheap Keuigs at Target the other day.

Poor unfortunate Vita owners: there will be a deal on memory cards later today.

I'm watching myself for some RAM, an SSD and possibly the Infamous 1+2 plus controller bundle if the price is sweet enough.
This is a silly question, but do people generally fill up their 3 TB hard drives? That sounds insane to me.
I think you'd be surprised.

i've been begging for over 5 years.

Yes I did find some cheaper ones thank you for asking Jack. But I also found out a Keurig is what my mother wants to buy my wife and I for the holidays. So I didn't purchase any.

I am really looking for help on the touch screen laptop my wife so badly wants.

Some Blu-Ray's are 50gb each. If you keep all your BR's ripped to disc, it doesn't take very long to hit 3TB.

3TB of pornnnnnnnnnn

Hey GAF...is this a good deal on an external HDD?

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=5622222&type=product&id=1218677495232

89.99 for a toshiba 1.5 TB

The 3TB ones will be $100 again. Even at their normal price of $130ish, that's still a better price per GB than a 1.5tb drive for $90

No 'deals' anywhere. Extremely disappointing so far. $199 to $179 is not a super 'deal' or 'doorbuster' in the slightest.
The best stuff I've seen is still in the pipeline for later today as Amazon lightning deals: PS3 bundles, Vita memory cards, cheap RAM and SSDs.

Nothing we haven't already seen for black friday though. Cyber Monday really is just a tack on. :(

Keep us posted on a lightning deal for an SSD please. I'd love to get one out of this but all the deals so far seem to well you know kind of totally suck.

Indeed, and even then there are only about two or three things I'm interested in when the hour comes around. Although to be fair I'm only looking at games.

Gamestop seems to be doing better than Amazon though, however still some lame 'deals'; Jak & Daxter collection PS3: $19.99 - $14.99. Should be like $5.

Ah interesting, thanks for the reviews. Can't deny that's a good deal per GB. Just $190 before rebate is definitely more than I was hoping to spend. That's not actually even a BF/CM deal, right? Might stick around a bit?

Yeah, those are pretty typical prices. Lowest I've seen is $159 after rebate and I've been watching these for the last 6 months.

Crucial RAM is really good, I've not heard anything bad about their SSDs.

But I'll let you know if the lightning deal this afternoon ends up being worth it.

I've heard that Crucial is to be outright avoided for SSDs, is that wrong?

Essentially I'd say $150 after rebate was a great deal for a 256, and under 100 a good deal for a 128. How does this one strike you guys? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006EKJCWM/?tag=neogaf0e-20

I also have a Crucial SSD (that I bought specifically due to high reviews). Unless they've gone downhill in the past year, they're still good. Mine has worked flawlessly so far.

Where did you hear that? I bought a 256GB Crucial M4 couple days ago.
Can't even remember, honestly. Willing to chalk it up to somebody not knowing what they were talking about, if there's no consensus on that. SSDs are just not at all my area of expertise, I don't know who to trust or what makes a good deal in this case. I haven't been following them, because until eeeehhhhhhhhright nowish, they've been cost-prohibitive for me.

Looks like M4s seem to be a pretty de facto choice. If there is a deal on one today that goes below that $170- or even $170 without a rebate- I'll probably snatch it up. They have the Marvell controller and nothing comparable is as cheap.

You could have gotten a Seagate 3 TB hard drive on black friday for $10 more.
You guys probably don't realize but there are two types of external HDDs. The 3TB one is a Desktop external HDD which means you still have to plug it in the wall as well as your computer (hate those). This one is a Portable external HDD. Which means it gets all the power it needs from the USB socket (these are always more expensive). I just bought a 3TB Portable HDD from BestBuy for $130 which is a very good deal.

Yes this is a decent deal if you want a Portable HDD and don't want to be tethered to an outlet.

The 1.5Tb is a 2.5 HDD and does not need an external power source, so its actually a pretty good deal, obviously you`re paying a premium for the smallish size.
