The multiplayer sounds like brilliant fun! Can it be played with the gamepad & wiimote, or gamepad & pro controller? On the amazon description it mentions the gamepad and "classic controller", which I don't have :/

for anyone else interested, i've had a bit of a google. turns out the player controlling the zombies/traps uses the gamepad, and the other player can either use a wiimote (with a nunchuck, which it won't work without) or a pro controller.

I'll never play a game like it again. Perfect storm of survival horror elements representing the purest form of the genre.

A flawed masterpiece if there ever was one

The game is flawed, but im almost sure the flaws somehow made it better

That´s why i fear a sequel. Maybe they solve all the problems... and the game lose its charm

So it's worth the $14 price tag on Amazon? May have to finally purchase it.

No way its not worth it at that price.

Easily worth 40$ still imo , its still the best wii u game imo.

Really wish it would get a sequel :/

My only qualm was the melee , got old quick having to hit every zombie 3 times or armoed 5 or more. Sometimes youd get that 1 hit headshot which was so satisfying though.

Gunplay is great in this.

At least you can talk. Who are you?
Nothing like playing this in the dark on the big screen. Plugging headphones into the GamePad makes is so much better. The way the GamePad is used in that regards, for audio, is surprisingly well done. Would always recommend the game.

Excellent game buy beware of some game breaking glitches. I had to start over twice because of this. Also, try to fill up your friends list with others who have the game. So fun killing them and grabbing the Loot they had.

They patched those bugs. There were 2 (I believe) that would make ou have to start over if you encountered them. I never ran into either but my brother ran into the one that was really early in the game.

They are patched now so it is no longer an issue thankfully.

Hope that the rumors of a 2nd one are true. Glad I didn't listen to the crappy Gamespot and IGN reviews. They had me worried that it would be Red Steele again.

A great horror game. So good in fact that I wouldn't play a sequel (if there was one).

It filled me with an uncomfortable sense of dread that I would not like to go back to. I realise that it is a horror game and that was its job but it was too much for me. Too dark

Multiplayer was actually quite amazing and I wish more games on Wii U combined RTS gameplay with shooter/action genres for some more asymmetrical fun. To me that was the highlight of the package. Someone out there should make a robust local and online multiplayer game which builds heavily around such a concept. Or a dungeon master-style experience. How Nintendo hasn't made this yet is slightly mind-boggling.

As far as single player is concerned: It just didn't capture me much.I remember not liking the level design of the single player campaign and the controls were a bit too loose for my tastes. I did think the real time inventory management was novel but not something fun enough to build an entire game around.

I'm still salty since I save as many ammo as I could for that moment when I would really need them only to finish the game with a shit ton of ammo.

It is the perfect zombie survival game. A true creepy, disturbing survival game. Glorious.

Ubisoft patched the glitches out.

Great game, still deserves way more love than it gets. Should be on the "to buy" list of every Wii U owner. I gotta replay it.

Could have been a bit more successful if so many reviewers hadn't shit on it. I bought it ignoring the reviews (the console was new and I wanted more ways to experience it) and playing through it I always had the though lurking around my mind - "What fucking game did these reviewers played?". Enjoyed the hell out of it as a fan of survival horror.

Someday I'll go back and do survivor mode, that first playthrough was intense not knowing what was coming. This was one of the first games I got for WiiU just after Christmas this year, it was on the eshop for around 5 pounds - I got a nice deal on it.

Maybe I'll be able to do the endgame without dying too!

Cracking survival horror - first of it's genre I've enjoyed in a long time - but I didn't like the
Boris (king of the zombies)
bit
- I guess he was meant to be like Boris Johnston?

I got fucked over with the game breaking glitch about 12 hours in and haven't played it since.

I might go back to it at some point.

Gotta love people marking their spoilers for a 2 year old game but popular tv series that's just recently ended? nah.
Can I make a totally spoilery game of thrones reference? Something about book 5 maybe? after all it's totally older than this game, no?

On topic, ZombiU is my GotWiiU and GotY2012.
It managed to be one of the few game where you can show me a screen and I'm having flashback of when I played it lol.
The miiverse integration is genius and surprisingly well made, it's too bad that there's not many more playing the game now :/
It needs a sequel badly because there's only so many time I can play this game already.
In a replay I tried being a little more liberal with my ammo and the game is actually even better that way.
You can easily break it by just meleeing most zombies, really when there's 2 you can still manage with the bat.
Anything more you just pull up the gun and never use anything else (even flares although some situations can be sticky without them).
I probably only used flares and grenades at the last possible moments because I usually forget that they're there!

Super stressful game. Losing everything sucks lol

I played it through to the
last area, but when going back to escape through the sewers or whatever I died and I just gave up. I think I had enough of the game under my belt and didn't want to keep backtracking again and again. Plus it seemed like it was bugged too?

Damn is this game stressing. A mob was thrown at me, and I started freaking out. Luckily I had a couple rifle rounds left, otherwise I would have been a goner.

My sixth survivor was an army colonel who would sometimes laugh when he was killing the zombies. My current eighth survivor was a recruiter who will start crying every time a zombie notices her.

The pacing on this game is excellent. How many games can have a group of 3 zombies become an "oh shit" moment?

I didn't like it a lot at first. I played through the majority of the game, made it to the end (the point of no return) and then died in a vent as I tried to quietly drop down from an upper level. As such, I lost my avatar.

When I tried to go back, all of my unlocked fast travel points were locked and there were zombies in the tunnels, so I said fuck it and gave up. Ended up with a 5/10 rating in mind.

I ended up returning to it, to try to finish it before selling it, and liked it more once I did all of the work and made my way back. I didn't think my body could be salvaged, but I found it eventually and beat the game.

It's definitely flawed, though.

I wish I would have bought a screen protector before playing this game...lol

I like everything except some of the dumb gamepad stuff.

I once killed a survivor on purpose, who moaned like some silly porn actress every time she swung the cricket bat...

I regret nothing.

If theres a price cut in Malaysia next year, I will definitely buy a WiiU.
