It wasn't about them accepting her, it was about how living with repressing her psychotic tendencies and getting shat on by life for it was driving her insane. Think of it like recovering from drug abuse, and the evil queen was her addiction.

Henry could've handled that a lot of different ways. Destroy the crystal with the pen, make it so no one could use magic for evil, etc.

Evil is subjective.
Most of your trademark bad guys sincerely believe that they are doing the right thing and are doing good.

I think it's funny how traversing different worlds has slowly become less and less of an accomplishment as the show's gone on.

Season 1 - The only way to traverse dimensions is with the curse!

Season 2 - Also these beans. But they're super rare!

Season 3 - And Peter Pan's shadow can do it. And mermaids for some reason.

Season 4 - Also there are magic tornadoes.

Season 5 - Glass slippers, magic wands, or, you know, just a bunch of people throwing coins into a fountain and believing hard enough.

Dang show is getting weird. I don't like the Henry subplot. At least they got a cool villain at the end of it all. Wasn't expecting that.

This finale was throwing everything at the wall. Everything.

I don't know how many of you like to browse Channel Awesome, but one of the shows there called Shark Jumping launched a podcast at some point called Once Upon a Timing. I have yet to listen to it so I can't vouch for its quality just yet but it seems interesting and I thought you guys might like to check it out and see how it is.

I think I'd rather commit than go on a bus trip with henry anywhere

Lol how did Henry's girlfriends dad even get to Camelot? That was dumb

He had the alternate holy grail. He could have transformed it into Excalibur and snuff out all the Darkness in Gold if he wanted to. Or create another dark one

I'm expecting a crossover with The Flash at this point.

If this show had the budget for better effects I'd kill for a Regina vs. Regina big dumb magic fight.

LOL

Man I wish they'd reference Pirates of the Caribbean(beyond Hook initially being budget Sparrow.)
Heck they already have one of the series's main supporting cast members as recurring on OUAT

I'll make the new OT when stuff starts getting confirmed.

Some season format changes.

Kitsis: "This season is going to be different from past because it's not going to be Hyde comes to town, we fight with him for 10 episodes, and then in the winter finale, he dies and we move on. We are changing around what we're doing this year and going back to that Season 1 mentality of small town stories and smaller arcs."

Horowitz: "We're also planning a 22-episode story as opposed to breaking it up into two halves this year. It's been really exciting and fun."

Odds are that the people from the land of untold stories will be taking on the roles of the amnesiac townspeople from S1.

GOD GOD GOD I know I've posted about this a half a dozen times but I hope this is absolutely and truly the case. I don't think they've run out of material for their main cast but it has been getting a bit stale I think.

Either format actually works with the show I think, but sometimes there isn't a clear throughline through both half-season arcs so they just seem like really shorter stories that feel unmined at times and they really only have like 2 episodes in each half to bridge them together and it's usually something about Rumple trying to still be the Dark One or something.

Ironically I thought S4 was the best when taken separately but they were sorta slapdash halves that just somehow worked on their own. Maybe I just didn't like S5 because though it was the same I don't think both halves really did anything too interesting.

Good, because the show has been a trash bin fire of storytelling for the past three seasons. They need to stop doing the grand Disney arcs for the sake of Disney Porn.

Instead we'll get "Hey remember this Disney character that's been living in Storybrooke the whole time but somehow we've never seen them before and never will again"

Speaking of the fairies, how did Chernabog get inside the Sorcerer's Hat? I'm still really curious, and it's currently the one plot thread that bothers me.

Didn't stop Whale from reappearing.
I'm kind of upset that the Land of Untold Stories is a thing, because I feel like it means underutilizing some of the other worlds. Like the Land without Color. Would be sick to see more old-ass black and white movie monsters showing up.
I wonder if James ran into Jack down there and threw her into hell because he didn't want to deal.
Did she have unfinished business?

So the show's creators made a pilot for a new show called Dead of Summer if anyone's interested. It's got Snow Queen and Anna's actresses and Zelda Williams.

I love all the homages to 80s camp movies (it's set in '89 after all), but it just seems super contrived.

Aladdin, Jafar, and Jasmine are in. Looks like Jafar has been recast as Oded Fehr

Galavant star Karen David has been cast as Princess Jasmine on Once Upon a Time, EW has learned.

The news comes on the heels of Once Upon a Time announcing that Deniz Akdeniz (Graceland) has been tapped to play Aladdin, while Oded Fehr (Covert Affairs) will play Jafar in season 6. (Lost’s Naveen Andrews previously portrayed Jafar on Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.)

Damn couldn't get Naveen Andrews. Saw that news a few days ago, was kinda sad.

But sorta happy Karen David has found work as Jasmine.

I'm all in for Oded Fehr due to an obsession with The Mummy.

Maybe I should finish Once Upon a Time in Wonderland since it's becoming increasingly more relevant.

Didn't they also say they are going to stick with one plot the entire season, instead of doing that "1/2 the season is one set of characters, then we completely switch over the second half!"

Hope so, love the Aladdin stuff and would love a season (or more!) of it

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about all the stuff that happened in the finale with Dr. Hyde, wonder how that ties in

They're reverting to the Season 1 formula if I remember correctly.

Well considering Will basically just vanished after the first half of S4, I wouldn't say it's been too relevant
I'd take Oded Fehr either way.

Have no damn clue why he wasn't Ra's al Ghul on Arrow.
Because then that meant it would've been a good season HEY-OOOOOOOOO
couldn't resist the dig

Well it's too late because I've already started up again and I already have questions.

Why didn't Alice just make two wishes?

"I wish that my enemies can't harm anyone that I care about."

and

"I wish that Cyrus was here."

Even if that second one isn't allowed due to genie shenanigans (which makes no sense anyway because it's up to the genie to interpret that wish, so it can only go horribly wrong if Cyrus wants it to), that first one pretty much covers anything that either Jafar or the Red Queen (or anyone, really) could do to her.

Sorry Naveen, but Oded was in the Mummy. I'm glad he's Jafar now. I wonder if the genie that Aladdin meets is the one in the Magic Mirror.

I wish the Hatter would pop in for a bit like the Doctor Frankenstein did last season, before Sebastian Stan has to go back in that Wakandan refrigerator.
