Black hair and twintails you say? That sounds awfully familiar to...
Azusa?
Doesn't help they're voiced by the same person :lol

I have to thank Anime-GAF and these series-specific topics. As a result of them, I've started actually watching stuff again for the first time in ages
And frighten, I think.Nonoriri said:We aim topleaseconfuse and disgust the rest of OT.

Hcoregamer00 said:Seriously, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, Iron Man, this, and Index 2 makes it one of the strongest ones in a while.
They are all ten levels of awesome.
Medalion said:Everybody in this thread has a seat over there
Nonoriri said:But Iron Man and Index 2 are lame.
Fairly disappointing so far.Hcoregamer00 said:Seriously, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, Iron Man, this, and Index 2 makes it one of the strongest ones in a while.
K-ON! (TV) as Azusa NakanoAre you serious, that is Azusa's Voice Actress
Hcoregamer00 said:At least it would be better than whatever crap Railgun 2 would be
icarus-daedelus said:Guys, guys. Lets just admit that Index 2 and Railgun 2 will probably both be shit.
If that is what your expecting, then stay tuned, because this show is gonna take you on a ride real soon~firehawk12 said:I'm assuming the climax of the series will be that he gets caught with all the sister porn and the girl has to decide whether or not to "save" him from being ostracized by his family/friends. Yeah. It's a great casting choice personally.Joule said:Kyousuke is totally Tomoya.
Perhaps he feels guilty about all those years he was distant with his little sister, and now that he's found something that can serve as a way for them to connect with each other, he sees it as his chance to do right as the older brother.doomed1 said:Then again, for all the shit the older brother puts up with, I'm wondering what his angle is. Getting to know his little sister better? Being the 'nice guy'? or is he just a submissive little twat? Or MAYBE he's got a siscon himself D:
Well, what you described doesn't happen at all.firehawk12 said:Are you telling me that I'll be surprised? :lol
Well, what the hell...
Oh ho ho, we have ourselves a serious-minded poster here.Serious question assuming you're not just another joke account. Are you a 16 year old kid caught up in an anime phase, or a guy in his 30's who has a fatal obsession with jailbait 2d girls?
Heh... that's almost too bad. I've seen plenty of ADV tropes deconstructed proper, but the siscon has always been an issue that's been kind of dropped as soon as it's identified proper by the cast...icecream said:Perhaps he feels guilty about all those years he was distant with his little sister, and now that he's found something that can serve as a way for them to connect with each other, he sees it as his chance to do right as the older brother.
He ain't no siscon though.

Anyway, I don't really think it's guilt either, because I didn't really get the impression he felt that it was his fault that he was distant with his sister. I'll need to watch more to get a proper idea on the motive beyond "she's my sister", but I get the feeling that he does want a closer sibling relationship with his younger sister, more through just the frustration of her keeping him at arm's length for so long.
Oh God, I can't believe I'm having a conversation about this sort of thing with icecream D:

Dresden said:Well, what you described doesn't happen at all.The exact opposite happens.
There are a few indications of him wanting to bond with his sister like the morning breakfast conversation. But whether he wants to hang out with his sister because of that reason remains to be seen.doomed1 said:I'll need to watch more to get a proper idea on the motive beyond "she's my sister", but I get the feeling that he does want a closer sibling relationship with his younger sister, more through just the frustration of her keeping him at arm's length for so long.
firehawk12 said:Wow, so it's exactly like the set up of that other anime show about a guy who has to protect an otaku girl? :lol
Well, yeah, but so far it's been a bit tricky to read him. I figure him wanting to be a bit closer to his sister would make sense, but he also seems to resent her for overshadowing him, like he wants her to be on his level. I don't think he's ready to deal with this sort of thing and is just kind of going along with it.Geneijin said:There are a few indications of him wanting to bond with his sister like the morning breakfast conversation. I have not read the original source material.
Oh, I already know, but I like to pretend I'm not. It's just that I should know better about icecream. The rest of you I have an excuse of ignorance.Hellsing321 said:One of us! One of us!
It bears repeating.Joule said:Nogizaka Haruka? I tried watching an episode of that a week ago but it felt so bland.
Yep, that's it. I was going off of Wikipedia's list of shows about nerds back when I first watched Genshiken.Joule said:Nogizaka Haruka? I tried watching an episode of that a week ago but it felt so bland.
So are the rumors true? Are you in fact the SUBJECT of Oreimo? \3icecream said:Serious answer, assuming you're not just another troll: and what if I'm neither?

I find it weird that the parents are shown in different futon. It's not like the audience for this is innocent and chaste.

I just took it as another one of those 'anime reference show' during the time when it was all the rage. It was a nice distraction, but outside of going 'lol it's Shana/Dengeki Moeh/(insert reference)' I didn't really get much from the actual plot itself. It was pretty much your typical guy-and-girl story.Joule said:Does it actually get a little interesting? A friend of mine said it was alright so I decided to look into it but the overall package was so uninteresting (the visuals did not help).
Jexhius said:I would have preferred it to be creepy. If it had actually tried to tackle, with some ingenuity, the whole "little sister/brother thing" then I would have given the show some credit.
The people have spoken. This is the anime we want, nay, deserve.duckroll said:Why are there more replies in this thread than both the PantyStocking and Star Driver threads? Is this truly THE anime of the season? I think so!
Well, it's more about how society looks at otaku rather than brother/sister relationships. The fact that she likes those things is really to make her seem really otaku-ish (and be funny, given her status.)Jexhius said:I would have preferred it to be creepy. It's probably because icecream made the thread, thread made by icecream = more hits.duckroll said:Why are there more replies in this thread than both the PantyStocking and Star Driver threads? Is this truly THE anime of the season? I think so!
