Who's meta ranger at the moment? I'm out of the loop for a couple months :)

Revenant fun times?

It's easily Revenant. Man, Revenant is so absurd he makes release Yin look tame and fair.

Anyways, I'm glad Coop AI is interesting again. It sucked with them playing like mindless nothings just using basics.

Revnant until adjusting next week, so you got 1 week window

Then it's 1-800-Murdock
Sparrow is next
Twinblast is 2nd to last
Grim.exe aka the Fridge, is on ice...

Phase + Any ADC, Enemy Offlaner will have a bad day, but Rev + Phase combo is broken tier

Twinblast is broken as hell. Blinkshot + Hemmorage + crit *swoon*. And you can swap the blinkshot with stasis if you need that instead.

I've never tried him before and I've been looking for a good dps ranger main since I've grown too attached to Guideon and his awesome late game prowess with that awesome teleport to easily escape almost all encounters. I will try this now. :p

Twin is definitely number one right now but Rev is up there in about 2nd.

Anyways to the above I add this:

more stuff here

I wonder if the quote means they got rid of the centaur looking part

Happy Birthday! That's a massive haul of Paragons.

Never help to double up information over here for new players lurking :]
You were most likely automatically being given cards because you did not have a custom deck for that hero. Default decks come with tutorials.

The two currencies in Paragon are XP and CXP. They both come from similar sources. XP will level your character and CXP are the points you get for cards. This is all about last hits and timing everything else.

Cards and their upgrades are bought with CXP.
Some cards have bonuses when fully upgraded so completing a 5 or 6 point card can grant you an additional 1 or 2 points of benefit from the item. Thus early game it makes sense to take advantage of those bonuses by building 5/6 point items and replacing them later for more powerful items as necessary.

Really rough quick and dirty. Let me know if I missed anything or if there were other details you picked up on Reddit. Always nice to have an updated primer for new players.

Wish I could see the loot explosion stream live but alas.

So much rep and materials in the diamond chests. Oh man, I think I may end up saving them myself and hope for a change. Though I don't know if the contents of the chests are determined at acquisition or as you open them.

Thanks for letting us know what you got, I was actually counting the days for this haha.

For Science!

I don't think rewards are set like Overwatch is
As you can see from my Diamond Chest onslaught, certain things come up quite often

Like you see waves of rewards come and go
Like I started out with a lot of 11,250 Rep (Rare) rewards in a slot, then slowly it started going away and the materials came full force. Then Card Packs took center stage and just kept on coming up. I think I broke the reward system payout really, lol. Game must've been like how many Diamond Chest does this motherfucker have? Goddamn...

My guesstimate as to from Diamond Chests and the law of averages: that 5400 Rep, 500 of some Card material, 1 Card Pack, and a random pick of those 3 is almost always in a Diamond Chest

So yeah...

I'm not stockpiling anymore, whatever I get I'm opening, too much to hoard for that long and itching to press square
Also cutting my Paragon time down, put in too many hours into it, need to catch up on backlog and Trophies
Only 22 Platinums away from 200 Platinums, already hit 10,000 Trophies

Still gonna try to cheat days off of Daily Rewards by logging in every 22 hours and be as many days ahead possible
I think I'm ahead now by 5 days worth! (I've logged in 60 days consecutively with 22 hours and times it perfectly to net me 5 extra days of Daily Rewards that I'm ahead of the system lol)
Will take me 360 days consecutively to be a full month ahead of everyone! (Talk about killing your sleep schedule)
Right now @4:35AM today I'll be getting my Day 105 reward for logging in, most are at Day 100-101 (if they logged in Daily since Daily Reward inception), think only know of a redditor who is like a few hours back, not sure

Will post Day 106-120 later on in the morning

Voice acting is said to be coming to the game someday right?

I love how douchey this guy sounds, adds to the personality.

Voice overs will bring such life into the game

Need Wraith vs Twinblast Banter back and forth

Can't wait for Rampage gurgles

Yup, VO is on the list of things coming. Don't know when. I'll say that I've played builds of the game where it was in and it's pretty cool. Can't wait for them to finalize everything, but it could be a ways off; there's a lot of other work that's higher on the priority list. :) Enjoy the bits you're getting in the trailers, though! :D :D

🚨🚨🚨New Stockpile🚨🚨🚨

Fuck it let's do it again!
This time it will be from season to season, started yesterday So first day of Summer till first day of Fall, let's see how much I get
Destiny 2 and other games will take my time away, but I'll Login Daily and play a game or two, go casual than hardcore I've been this past few months

Okay, he looks cool as hell and his abilities are pretty slick. When will he be ready to play? Tuesday?

Yeah, Tuesday morning June 27th, update goes live around 4-5AM EDT

Get ready for dodging!

People from update release till I say 12PM EDT people play normally, then when Euros get home and East Coast time of getting off School/Work happens, the draft dodging becomes rampant till like end of the week, then weekend if Hero is OP or game changer *cough*Phase*cough* shit gets hella real

Umm so yeah for some reason if you go on the Paragon page on the YouTube app on PS4 you can watch the wraith overview..

Anyways I saw it and he looks really cool another game changer imo

Any PS4 players (UK/EU) want to squad up for some games? I've been really liking the game lately, but the lack of communication with randoms since there's no voice chat really kills the potential for me.

Goofing off with Deck names lol

Week 4 of Monthly Mega Vault gave me x3 Gold Chests lol
So for June I got Legendary (Gideon Skin), Epic (x5 Card Pack), Rare (x3 Gold Chest and x5 Win Boost: 3 Wins)

Already have 1 Bronze, 5 Gold, 1 Diamond, with 1 Loot Crate, since popping everything on Tuesday, so already 5 days in, stockpiling is working again.

Did they ever fully overhaul the card system? I remember after they combined elemental and physical power they said they had a full revamp in the works. I stopped playing then waiting for it to happen. Did it?

Not yet, early August with the Uber Balance Patch that shifts the meta around
So we are getting Patch 41 this week with Wraith
"Adjutments to certain Heroes"

Then 5 weeks leading up to first week in August for Patch 42 for the good stuff

Balance and huge updates happens every 9 Weeks, after 3 Hero Releases
Also Monolith is also going to get a facelift also

Patch is always ##.#, so we got to slog through 41-41.5

They'll start talking about it in Mid-July after the Hero in the middle of the month releases, then its Card rework + Monolith Update + Balance Patch on Heroes + other shenanigans (hoping for Reputation store!)

Meh. Back on the backburner it goes then.

No interest in learning a meta that's about to be completely upended.

I think that's a different team altogether

There might be cross promotion like how Overwatch and HotS does now, I don't see resources shifting

I mean in one of the Devs videos, they have artist right now working on Heroes in pre-pre-pre-production for the first half of 2018 right now
So it's a good showing, that a game has roadmap for the foreseeable future

I like when games like this, or MMORPGs change things around. Some of my best times were testing out new abilities in FFXI, or Path of Exile. Though for the cards, it took me a long time to learn how to use those based on the situation during the game.

That's the funnest part of the game for me.

It's always changing.

Yeah, I just don't like wasting time learning stuff that radically changes. Like all the time I spent perfecting my ganking techniques pre-Monolith was completely wasted. I too like balance changes and such, but when they completely re-do big parts of the game that turns me off.

When they combined energy and physical damage that was a huge change. I'm expecting the card changes to be huge as well. That sort of thing... shouldn't happen quite so often. Maybe once a year. Maybe.

Really I'm just waiting for it to become more stable. I don't like wasting my time learning skills and strategies that are quickly rendered obsolete.

Well card rework was a given, it was bloated as hell

Most realize this is a Beta as a live game, so many changes are going to take place
I mean most "Betas" are either glorified demos or stress tests with a little data to see if find tuning needed

Paragon literally is a true Beta
Changes are happening constantly that work within the game of being played

Until it's hit like final release, which still looks like a 2018+ title, the game will be forever changing
Cool thing is for me I get to interact with Devs, answer my questions and concerns, they listen to the community also

Also 2.5 months for huge updates isn't that bad

At least meta shifts from one thing to another, not stays stale for so long

My enthusiasm for grinding up stars for gold and diamond chests is at an all time low. Every single chest this week gave me nothing but Reputation. I already have all current characters' mastery + more than enough deck slots.

I don't understand why we get so much reputation and can use it on so little. We should be able to use that to buy emotes or flags. Hell, let me buy a skin for 700,000 reputation or something idk.
I know multiple people that have over a million lol, what do?

This is the reason I play Smite to just fuck around.

I have fun, bit playing competitively doesn't really interest me. At least not as much as Paragon, which always does something to stay fresh to me.

The game is far from finished, remember that.

I guess if you're not a fan of the changed that'll happen, but I think a lot of them made the game better. There are a few that step backs they had and I even got incredibly frustrated with the game at one point. But atm I'm really enjoying it.

Whenever Epic feels there's enough variations of every skin in skittles and starburst color formats, then unleash the Rep store

By then either half the whales have had everything due to Loot Crates or missing only few and the Reputation becomes meaningless once again

Epic needs to call up a MMO Dev and ask about timesinks and curency sinks

I left Reddit posts to Devs on how to deplete our Reputation to those with stockpiles with it
Let's us get 1 extra roll per week on Monthly Mega Vault, so 8 rolls, every week roll will dependent on a tier picked at random (common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary)
So 4/5 tier can be rolled for more items
Higher tier requires more Rep to roll again, had it Common be 5,000 to Legendary 75,000-100,000
This way, you give people a chance at extra rewards, you keep them happy, remove Reputation via a sink
If say 8 Rolls, you could easily remove what 150,000-200,000 rep per month easily

Got to start somewhere!

I think highest total Reputation is a streamer with 10,000,000+ Reputation...
Loot Crates galore (those 45,000 Reputation Substitutes add up lol)

I'm close to 3.5mil myself, and as you saw from my Birthday bash of opening chests and Crates "Everything was Reputation"
