I wouldn't recommend Cel Damage HD to somebody with just a Vita. It's a fun game, but I can already tell it won't hold my interest for very long on the Vita. Also, I said it was 60fps before, but I think during gameplay it's actually 30 or unlocked.

The main theme in Demon Gaze is officially stuck in my head. Looks like I might have to import IA/VT Colorful after all.

I've only played an hour so far, but it seems very solid in terms of gameplay/combat. Also, Vocaloid IA is used for the soundtrack and may be added as a "playable" character via DLC in the future.

hmm so you will recommend a buy at full price?
hmm.. Conception II is a no?

I didn't like the Conception II demo too much, and Atlus games tend to go on sale on PSN fairly frequently, so I skipped Conception II for Demon Gaze instead. Of course, I might be a bit biased since I made the Demon Gaze OT. :p

I'm thinking of giving Demon Gaze a go...
I like anime.. but that pantsu video someone posted earlier made me go... ><
does that happen often or is it once a while (for humor?)

We've had multiple discussions about that over in the OT, and the general consensus was that fan service isn't really a big problem. Reviews from mainstream media seem to be surprisingly positive for the most part too.

Edit: I don't like most fan service either.

I wish Demon Gaze had a demo so I could try it. I normally am not a fan of dungeon crawlers, but I loved SMT IV and apparently that's a dungeon crawler, so. I'm torn.

guess it's a buy then
gah... and I have yet to even buy Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD

any takes on Injustice?

Playing crash 1 on my vita. This is the first time playing crash and it's fun but good lord is the save system insane in this game. So save games don't Cary over any built up lives, and the only way to save is to collect three items in certain level AND. Make it through a mini level. What a bizarre system.

It's fun to play and it's polished. Great art and music!
Most first person dungeon crawlers throw you in with the expectation that you know the language of the genre so to speak, and they are brutally difficult.
DG is a lot more accessible (without being babby's first dungeon crawler).
Also the localization has been pretty funny so far.

The story is like a comedic anime or manga. The game doesn't take itself too seriously.

Combat enables you to hold the x button and fly through simple battles in seconds, so if you are grinding for loot or leveling new characters or something it's painless.

You call on demons you've captured to aid you in battle but if you forget to send them away within a turn limit (this grows as they level up) they get angry and turn on you in a rage.

Granted, I'm only a few hours in but I can already tell it's going to be replacing P4G as my vita card slot reserve game.

Watch some youtube videos and see what you think.
Extended Gameplay video (first 50 minutes)

Seems interesting. Maybe I'll pick it up whenever it hits $20. Can't afford to get another game day 1 after getting Miku and FFXHD day one :p.

Replaying Legend of Dragoon on my Vita. I've always wanted to do it but couldn't be arsed to dust off my PS3. Oh man I missed this game. I first played it when I was fifth grade. I never noticed the AWFUL localization back then. It's everywhere!

Wait, is it able to be downloaded to Vita directly now? I don't have a PS3, and I've been waiting forever.

Ooh, I just realized that next week we should find out what the PS+ perks are for May. I wonder what Vita games (if any) are among them. If I had to guess, I'd say Proteus, since the other 3 games from Curve Studios (which were all available in a special bundle a month or so ago) have been given away via PS+ over the past few months (Stealth, Inc.: A Clone in the Dark, Thomas Was Alone, and Lone Survivor: Director's Cut).

I hope not, I already bought all of the Curve Vita games. :(

Please no -__- The Curve bundle with all those games had a PS+ discount in February. All those games had a stand alone discount in January. I bought them all they had a PS+ discount. Pretty freaking shitty thing to do :l

Ok, so it seems Motorstorm Apocalypse, which I bought for almost 40 dollars, has expired. Now the store tells me I have to buy it again, and, after shuffling through more than a thousand items in my download list due to the lack of search function, I can guarantee it isn't there.

Doesn't inspire much confidence on digital services at all. I can't even send an e-mail to Sony to see if I can get it fixed. I have to wait for college vacation so I can be at home and spend 2h with their costumer service. Probably to get a refund and never be able to buy the game again, like it happened with Motorstorm RC.

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?

Go through your download list on PC and search each page. If it's not there go to the Sony site and find the customer support email. If there none, for some reason, go to the chat box and talk that way. If you don't want to do that, then call them. I've solved all my problems in less than 30 minutes.

we should know by tomorrow, for Europe at least.

Get the slim, it counts as a new sold Vita, is reportedly better and you don't have to touch a dirty second hand handheld. You never know where the former owners hands were before, just like that guy who bought that porno VIta ;)

Except for the lovely OLED vita I'm selling in the BST thread ;)

The slim is lovely, but it is a shame they are only available in black in the west. I'd be tempted to import a coloured one (which I did)

vitagaf, I love batman but very much dislike wasting money. Is blackgate worth the $12.59?

Blackgate is a terrible game, don't waste your time with it. If you want a game in a similar vein to Blackgate get Guacamelee! instead. It doesn't have Batman but it's a much better game.

You're right, the awful is EVERYWHERE in that game.

Since yesterday along with many other games you couldn't direct download before. You have to buy and download through the web store though.

You can download from your download history on the Vita.
You just can't do it from the store page for the product.

It does if you play on PC!

But you're right... as I said before, I cannot recommend Blackgate to anyone. It's *almost* as bad as Strider. *Almost*.

Sometimes I wish PS had a Steam Workshop equivalent.

Also what's so bad about Strider? It's not the best game in the world but I had fun with it. For $15 I don't think you can go wrong.

You can go wrong as far as I'm concerned. I paid about $9 for it on PC and I'd be hard pressed to name a single positive (I guess movement becomes amusing in late game once you have the catapult... but that's not really anything special).. It's more braindead than Blackgate. At least Blackgate has a decent story and some quality voice acting. The worst part of Blackgate is the new game+ system necessary to 100% the game and the fact that the combat/predator rooms didn't transfer well to 2.5D (the combat in particular). Still, there's more variety and variation in Blackgate for the most part.

I wouldn't recommend EITHER of them, to be honest. But I think I enjoyed my time with Blackgate a bit more than I did my time with Strider. Strider is one of the biggest disappointments I've played in several years and one of the worst games of 2014 as far as I'm concerned. This "reboot" is as disappointing to me as FFX was when I purchased it on release back in 2002 and couldn't force myself to like it no matter how much I *wanted* to.

hmm which one should I buy this week?

Demon Gaze
Octodad
Injustice Vita

I'm pretty looking forward for Demon Gaze, so I'l probably buy that. Octodad and Injustice is not really necessary since I wouldn't have time to play them right now, but they're on sale right now so I wonder if I should get it now anyway....

What the hell is with the EU digital price of Injustice for PS4? It's been on sale a few times in the US store but it's AUD$85(~USD$80) and I don't think it's ever been on sale in PAL land.

After all the hoopla on Tomb Raider this is a bit stupid.

So we should hopefully get the PS+ games for May announced soon?

And it seems 4J has shifted priority to the PS4/XB1/PSV versions of Minecraft, always good to hear. Comments in a blog post on PSN says they're aiming for "Q2/Q3" which is a pretty wide margin they're setting themselves (April-September), but it reiterates they're definitely coming this year.

Also, "You should be able to bring your PS3 save to PS4. :)"[/URL], and claims they're working on a similar system for the Vita version."

"The Vita version will be closer to the console versions. PS4 will definitely have infinite worlds!"

"We’re in the process of finalising cross-buy/upgrade/DLC things. More news soon."

All from here. Don't know if anybody's posted, I've been away for a few days. He finally replied to queries on the blog after a few days, well hidden.

I'm with you on the brain dead part, but I felt it fit in with the game well. It was pretty easy to beat, aside from trying to find every item for a 100% game which was more tedious than anything. I doubt I'll play it again but I did have fun with it. Blackgate on the other hand I couldn't even finish. I found it to be utter trash, which is really disappointing considering the team who worked on it were partly responsible for one of my favourite games ever (Metroid Prime).

Any PSP recommendations? All the new compatible games make me want to pick up some PSP games.

God I want to pick up the Vita version already

I've been playing SF Alpha 3 Max and it looks awesome on the Vita. It's not a newly playable game though.

These aren't just all newly compatible games. MotorStorm and Midway Arcade Treasures are new at least though.

MotorStorm Arctic Edge
Def Jam Fight for NY
Burnout Legends
Twisted Metal Head On
Tactics Ogre
Valkyria Chronicles 2
Jeanne d'Arc
Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play
Capcom Classics Collection Remixed
Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded
Sega Genesis Collection
The King of Fighters Collection
Wipeout Pure

THAT'S IT

This is effing retarded.

If IA/VT is anything like Dekamori Senran Kagura, I will definitely NOT be buying it EVER.

It's effing retarded when you're on normal difficulty, and all of Hanzo is cakewalk, Gurentai is decently hard, then you come across Daidouji.

I don't even know how I have beaten Daidouji twice.

They might as well replace all the face/PS button notes with litte F*** YOU handsigns when fighting her.

This becomes worse if you're played Project Diva, too, and most of you probably have. Ahahahahahaha.

Capcom released Ichinose from his dungeon for a MH 10th Anniversary interview: http://www.capcom.co.jp/monsterhunter/10th/greeting/03.php

Ichinose was the director for every one of the Monster Hunter Portable games on PSP. Interestingly, he hasn't been involved with any of the Nintendo MH games. I don't believe the interview brings up his next project.

So, will they release him for Monster Hunter 5 or just keep him locked forever?
