This guy's grown on me. Looks cool in-game.
Anyone get the feeling there will be a VERY small number of new Pokemon?
looks like a mole a bit
I cannot with the Legendary Deer having swords as legs.
The console Pokemon entries have had those kinds of animations around for a long time. Until something better comes along, that's how most people are going to expect Pokemon battles to look like. So, in terms of how dated it is, it's going to be a long time before really dynamic battles exist.I'm happy they've finally made the transition to 3D, but sticking to the grid overworld movement, the flat environments, and the more static clunky-style of Stadium/Colosseum battle animations is still going to date the game.

Has a Pokemon game ever looked significantly better than its first reveal? I think there's a fair bit of wishful thinking going on. The graphics just aren't that important to the developers, apparently. They have time to polish it up
imagine gym battles using this battle system - it'll be just like Pokemon Stadium
same
Z is totally going to be the 3rd version to complete the 3 axes that represent and symbolize this game.

i'll make sure to make it to your birthday party you're having on facebook, thanks for the invite!
I can make the same argument about the anime in your avatar.
PopGAF personified as a Pokemon?

They'll never fuck this up again. The first time hurt more than enough.I also hope they have a way to easily transfer Pokemon from the DS versions into X/Y.
I was wondering about that too, yeah, but I think it looks fine on the guy. These designs, if they are standard, look good at the least.I think (hope) it is. Male Trainer's sunglasses feel just too tacked on to be part of the final design.
This looks like N64+ graphics
Pokemon really doesn't need 60FPS. It would be better looking good 30 then looking like a 10 year old game at 60.

They got plenty of time so I would sure as hell hope so. It looks great already but they should really push the envelope with this..
Whose fave is Psyduck in this scene?PopGAF personified as a Pokemon?
But... Gold/Silver has the worst starters! I declare your opinion wrong.Looks amazing and I love the art style really fits the Pokemon theme. And this probably the first time since Gold/Silver I thought the starters looked cool.

please for the love of all that is good, please dont make transferring Pokemons from previous games a pain! please! but then again, this is Game Freak... *sigh*
speculation is Fire/Psychic, Grass/Fighting, Water/Dark based on moves used.

I'd be find with that. Give us a region with 60-80 new ones and 80 or so old ones and I'm okay. We don't need 150 new designs every generation.

I'm definitely excited for this. Yeah the environment looks very...pixelated but hey at least it's a big step forward. I'm surprised they went with this look considering the over 500 pokemon models that were made for Pokedex3D are now going to go to waste....unless you really want to buy the $15 pokedex.
Haven't played a Pokemon game since Yellow, is it too late to jump back in when this is out?
They wouldn't need to significantly improve them for the game to look much better. Framerate optimization would work within three quarters of a year or so.Has a Pokemon game ever looked significantly better than its first reveal?
