I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I actually just started reading the comic and I wanted to catch up to the show, problem is I'm on issue 12 and I'm already very close to the show. How satisfying is the show for those that have read the comic? I really enjoy the week to week, and don't want to ruin the sense of discovery... but I'm very hard pressed to stop. :(

Not sure if this has been posted, but it looks like dish network provider is dropping amc from their channel lineup. So anyone with it is going to miss out on next season.

- AMC Content: Inside The Walking Dead Visual Effects
Massive walker herds. Exploding CDC buildings. Even a looming prison. Each adds to the spectacle of The Walking Dead. What you may not realize, however, is that sometimes these visuals are generated by the computer-generated wizards at Stargate Studios. In this new behind-the-scenes video, Visual FX Supervisor Victor Scalise walks you through 3D effects added to the apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead. "As we hope with most of our work," he says, "you don't know they're computer-generated."

Nice!

Assuming they stay on par with the 8-days-of-filming-per-episode, the sneak preview next weekend could potentially have scenes from the first 6 episodes of Season 3.

Can't wait. :D

If you don't want to know a single thing about season 3, don't read this:

"The Walking Dead" Season 3 won't have the same problems as Season 2, according to series executive producer Glen Mazzara. In an interview with TV Guide, Mazzara and comic creator Robert Kirkman previewed what's ahead for the merry band of zombie apocalypse survivors.

"I guarantee people will say the show is moving too fast and it's too packed," Mazzara said. "'There's too much going on, I can't take it, it's too exciting!' Trust me, I know people are going to say that because we are really hitting the ground running and we expect the audience to keep up."

In Season 3, Rick and co. will find an abandoned prison, like in the comic books, and deal with the Governor and other (maybe not so nice) survivors of Woodbury. But if you've read the comics, don't expect to know every twist and turn before it happens.

"Our Woodbury will be very recognizable to the fans of the comics," Mazzara said. "However, we are going to tell this story our way and make it our own."

"The Walking Dead" Season 3 will also see the introduction of Michonne (Danai Gurira), a fan-favorite comic book character who is quite skilled with a sword. The character appeared in the Season 2 finale, very briefly, and will be instrumental in the development of Andrea (Laurie Holden).

"I wanted to put a spotlight on Andrea and to develop who is that character on her own terms," Mazzara said. "Not in Dale or Shane's shadow. I think Andrea is ready to be on her own and it will be interesting to see two strong female perspectives together."

Along with Michonne and the Governor,
Merle, a Season 1 character played by Michael Rooker, will return to the show. Merle, Daryl's (Norman Reedus) brother, was last seen handcuffed to a roof with a horde of zombies approaching. Mazzara told TV Guide that Merle will be the "X factor." "No matter who Merle is with, he's always his own man ... Merle's missing hand is his reminder of what Rick and his crew did to him. That's not something he'll ever forget," he said.

Yeah, that should work, thanks. I don't think there's anything else too spoilerish in there unless I'm missing something.
lol why hasn't evilore just made you a mod yet so you can just edit everyone's post with tags. It'll be "your thing". Long time coming anyway.

OMG!!!!! I so can't wait for season 3 after reading that.
this is me every time I read something that gets my hyped:

Still no mention of Tyrese, which is disappointing.

T-Dog is going to get trapped under a makeshift cocoon of walker bodies, be written off as dead, then he will return 2-3 episodes later as a different actor and he will say the T stands for Tyrese. Just a theory.
