I have too much faith in people. I would have used this as a mantrap, forced socialization courses, re-personalization, aversion therapy, the works. anyone who would sign up for this needs help, and they can be helped.

You walk into the waifu chapel and see this guy:

How is this not copyright infringement? Does it fall under parody? Or is this company flat-out collaborating with the content creators to feature their characters?
Copyright is weird in Japan. you can make a comic or a game based on someone else's IP and sell it.

But man...that is kind of pathetic...and I'm more upset that I didn't think of it. The amount of money this is going to make...sigh. I'm clearly not business minded enough.

Dude! Million dollar idea: market this shit in America to bronies.

Is it weird that this makes me feel really bad? How lonely do you need to be to do something like this? Get a dog or something. It'll always be happy to see you.

Goddamn that's a long title.

So how's the show?

First season was really good with a lot of otaku culture being shown and talked about, the second season has some nice character episodes but it lost the whole otaku thing in favour of shitty, shitty romance.

Lots of good doujinshis though.

What makes you think that they have anyone in their life that would visit their home?

It's one thing to be lonely. It's another try to marry a fictitious character.

What makes you think they even have their own home? :p

But yeah I agree. I don't think there's anything wrong with throwing the term waifu around as "favorite female character" but anything beyond that is sad.

It's exactly what you'd expect from that title: incesty.

Well...from the title, I thought it would be about a brother who develops a new appreciation for his little sister as a person because he sees how much of a dork and quirky person she is, but he also develops a closer relationship to her and likes her better because of it. Seeing it all as 'cute'.

But of course, they meant literally cute, as in, sex.

They don't have sex
until the other series set in the same universe

I can't understand why that anime is so popular, you'd think it appeals only to a very small demographic.

incestuous masochists.

This is immoral. You can't just marry your waifu. What about all of the other people whose waifu is the one you want to marry? Society can't stand for this gross violation of the sanctity of monogamous marriage.

Brother/sister love has a pretty huge demographic! It's a very common trope.

Whatever you do, don't call it incest tho!

Because incest didn't come into play for a very long time. The first three fifths to two thirds was about a brother and sister trying to repair their fractured relationship.

There isn't a single thing about this that isn't completely fucked in the head. The best thing about the waifu marriage is keeping their defective genes out of the pool.
