yeah, I understand the merchandising and how they're making money off it.

I just can't understand why it's so popular.

it may have started off... as kind of acceptable. but then it veers off into all kinds of crazy.

didn't the anime end with the brother rejecting pretty much every girl so he and his sister can do a mock wedding or something?

I kept hoping the father would wise up and beat some sense into them.

They also made the only likable character in the anime into the villain because she had the audacity to say that siblings can't get married.

I don't understand this. If this company is providing actual, legal marriage paperwork, wouldn't the country/state first have to legalize polygamy, since many thousands of men will marry the same singular waifu?

And if this paperwork ISN'T legally valid... what's the point? Are these marriage certificates just a... toy? A prop of fictitious papers that you could type and print up yourself?

Manami's the one that was actually the reason behind Kyousuke becoming a pathetic loafer and Kirino developing her brother complex, both because she's a selfish and manipulative person.

This one post encapsulates everything that I feel is wrong with Japanese pop culture right now.

Its like whale hunting. That permeates everything. I mean its cool to have some of it like that. I personally get some nice looking merch myself from time to time. It looks nice, I'm a guy, so why not? I dont go about claiming "waifis" but they certainly have managed to make some attractive designs. But when I have difficulty thinking of a good show that DOESNT pander to a face palm worthy degree, its a problem. I've stopped watching most of it just because I know I can't really recommend much of what I would see to other people from all the tits falling everywhere.

Holy crap, Dreamydrop just saved my life as I almost recomeded Oreimo to my older sister... Shit would have been weird( I only read a few chapters and the spoiler tags saved me).
