The immortality thing may well have been due to the destruction of the time portals. So with him back where he belongs he should be fine.

I think there are some legit complaints but I feel the people who REALLY hate the ending overlook some of the common visual metaphors seen in several episodes. The lady bug, cherry blossoms, etc.

I'm eh on the overall plotting and thematic symbolism, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with the animation and visual symbolism. Maybe a few moments were visually rushed, but that's a nitpick at worst.

Like, for example, Aku ascending into the sky before his final spike assault was a direct callback to his revival in the first episode.

Re:Creators is okay. Geoff kind of oversells it IMHO since the exposition dumps are love it or hate it, and the show probably has the blandest MC I've ever seen in an anime.

Such a weird feeling playing a Fire Emblem where I actually want to use Pegasus Knights. Archers also feel more useful due to their impressive range. Echoes makes a lot of changes that I find myself enjoying.

You know how in One Piece and other good anime it would take the hero everything they got and their strongest power and use strategy in order to beat the final boss of an arc hell the whole series.

In FT the villain Strongest Mage ever, Zeref got a power up and became god and lost to a Nakama punch because Natsu has friends. The other Villain, which Zeref couldn't even touch and had centuries to prepare to even stand a change a dragon that can eat all magic and caused the extinction of the dragon race got beaten by being pushed to a portal by a boat

Rave was actually pretty good after it passed the half-way mark and I still maintain that's due to the plot forcing forward momentum (which is something FT never had).
