Having access to pretty much every PPV from WWE, WCW and ECW means we can now load up a VOD and jump straight to some of the very best matches from American wrestling history.

Here are the best matches from each available year, I will update the OP as often as I can and if there is a must see match not listed let me know and i’ll add it. There are so many legendary matches that many people may not have seen depending on how long wrestling has been an interest, so let’s share the wealth of knowledge and let everyone get the most out of their WWE Network experience.

I own every ECW tape ever released (be that good or bad, I don't know) so yeah I'm a fan.

I listed the matches that are the upmost cream of the crop but if you feel they totally stand up and are on par with some of the best then I'll add them in shortly :)

The Anarchy Rulz match was insane and that taz's farewell it really worked as a match. Theme of the thread was not just good matches but genuinely great ones but I know with wrestling that opinion can differ wildly from person to person.

As a long time HBK mark already, Shawn's 96 was a beautiful thing to witnesses.

Good to see you mention the HBK vs. Mankind match at Mind Games. That fight was just incredible.

Same for the Dude Love/Stone Cold match with the ever changing rules.

What I'd do for the Network to be in my country.

I think I'm going to need more help on the 2006, 2007 and 2008 PPVs. As I was just in 100% ROH mode back then. So I'm going to do a bit more digging but any input on those years would help :)

Nice, I'll watch a few of these this weekend before the free trial runs out. I'll come back to the service on the future when they flesh out the Attitude Era back catalog; I enjoy Raw/Nitro more than PPVs for the most part.

Once Nitro and all Raw etc are available then maybe a thread based on them might be useful. Either way there are plenty of good matches to be enjoyed right now and plenty still to come.

Nice thread Recall :) Currently trying to watch 1993 onwards. I've watched the first 2 Raw's and I'm half way through the Rumble. Will consult this list when I need a good match to break the monotony of Undertaker v Damien Demento and Randy Savage v Repo Man!

When WCW started going down the toilet creatively, was there one PPV that everyone signals out as the turning point? I've been enjoying a lot of the PPVs from 96-98, but would be interested to see 'the moment' where shit started turning sour, if there was one?

When WCW started going down the toilet creatively, was there one PPV that everyone signals out as the turning point? I've been enjoying a lot of the PPVs from 96-98, but would be interested to see 'the moment' where shit started turning sour, if there was one?

I think the general consensus is when David Arquette won the World Heavyweight Title is the point when WCW had totally went down the drain, but I think that happened on Nitro iirc.
