Damn, I hope it's not complete garbage cause I'm sold. Not only does a Korra action game sound awesome, but it has a new story written by one of the writers, so I pretty much have to get it. I'm a huge Korra fan, I liked it as much as the original or maybe more, so oh happy day for me.

That strategy RPG also intrigues me. It would be so awesome if it was a crossover like Persona Q, and had some kinda crazy story like
Fire Emblem Awakening
, and both generations were able to fight together. Unlikely but that would be my ultimate hope. I'll probably still get it regardless.

Can we please keep the Korra spoilers tagged please? I was waiting til season 3 was done to watch season 2, but now I know almost half the season.

No Wii U? Really? This is the kind of stuff that'd sell best on that platform. I don't know if I should blame Nickelodeon or Activision since the most recent TMNT game skipped the Wii U for Wii, 3DS, and 360 versions. :/

Interested in seeing what the 3DS version is all about.

Holy shit! Titmouse are doing the cutscenes. You know, the motorcity guys.

I only watched the first episode of that show, but that had some damn nice animation.

I really hope this does well for Platinum and Nickelodeon. In part because I love Platinum but also because I would fucking kill for Platinum to do a TMNT game.

As much as I love Avatar, I feel a little bit disappointed about this already. Even if Platinum is involved, it's too easy to pessimist and assume this is gonna be just a generic rushed up action/adventure. The Avatar franchise is so good (even though Legend of Korra is miles away from being as good as Legend of Aang), it deserved an actual fully featured game.

I don't want fast food, I want a delicious meal. The perfect situation IMO would be: CyberConnect2 + a couple years of development.

Please, Platinum! Prove me wrong!

Name one generic Platinum game.

If I understand correctly, TW101 wouldn't exist if Nintendo hadn't paid for it. And Nintendo is the company that suffers for TW101 bombing, not Platinum. Platinum already got paid when Nintendo contracted them for the work. TW101's sales performance only affects Nintendo. So I don't think anyone would feel "bitter," outside the chance they feel bummed more people didn't see their work.

I know Nintendo paid for it and owns the IP (Hence why we know Wonder Red's been deconfirmed for Smash), and the onus/reprocussions were on Nintendo, but according to Kamiya's Twitter, at least he was pissed about how poorly it was advertised. IIRC, it got an ad in a few kid's magazines (Despite being T), a Nintendo Direct, and nothing else.

Gah. Beat me to it.

Everyone has their first time...
Name one that was also a multiplataform licensed game published by Activision, announced in a summer to come out in the fall of the same year, without a single frame of the game itself in the trailer (but only a random fight scene from an episode of the TV show).

If history has proven anything, is that this is the exact ultimate combo to unleash a generic something in the market: Multiplataform + Licensed + Rushed
It's like a triforce of evil, that Activision (and EA) have plenty of experience using, hell... they got filthy rich during the PS2 gen by abusing this formula.

Funny thing about all this is, if the game turns out to be bad, Platinum is last one I feel like blaming. But if the game turn out to be good, it'll be pretty much all the credit to them.

So far it seems my hype will be justified.
Pretty hype preview. :-D

Never was interested in the show, but the heroine is attractive, the style is strong, and the gameplay will be dynamite. Really like the ability to switch between the four elements mid-combo and diversify your chain. Also, they included the counter-attack from Metal Gear Rising. This arouses me.

Hopefully I won't be too lost, lore-wise.

"A nice touch though at least is that chi blockers can knock out whatever last ability you were using for a small duration of time."

Ha, interesting.

What gave you that idea? Wonderful 101's amazing sales?

Batteries the CRISIS!
So according to this Nick Robinson guy, who got some hands-on impressions, Korra is being directed by Shirahama: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCmd5-SGuoA

Shirahama was a designer on MadWorld, Anarchy Reigns and Wonderful 101.

Robinson also mentions at about the 3 minute mark in that video that the game is $15 and four to five hours, although he may have been pulling that out of his ass while discussing the digital nature of the game. I'm not sure.

I'm quite curious what other developers were on Activision's list. Glad someone knew enough to go wit P*.

Earlier in this thread, it was said that Nickelodeon approached Platinum first, then found a publisher. Unless I missed something refuting that.

After looking it seems the destrctoid article is the only one to exactly mentions it but:

That "list" could've been given to them by Nick, possibly?
