I wonder what hair product Noctis uses...
I suggest you get a subscription to Men's Knuckle or Men's Spider.

The hair is still one of the most impressive things imo. So fluffly.
What's Ebony? Is that like a transitional engine? I thought much of the work was done on Crystal Tools.
Japanese voices for me. Hope they are included.
They are at 70-80% is what I understood ? Not much left (for changing engines)
Ebony is the Black Engine, which is a retooled version of the White Engine AKA Crystal Tools.
Ebony Engine I guess if the official internal name. They've been using that engine for as long as the Versus XIII days.
As crazy as it sounds, I think Troy Baker is in everything more than JYB.
Exactly, which is why it would be worrisome because of the possibility of a director just saying "do the nathan drake voice"Dude Nolan North has some fantastic voices when h's not doing the Nathan Drake voice....due is talented
The voice cast should include:
Troy Baker
Nolan North
Steve Blum
Yuri Lowenthal
Quinton Flynn
Liam O'Brien
Crispin Freeman
Johnny Yong Bosch
and for the ladies
Laura Bailey
Tara Strong
MAJOR MAJOR /S
He doesn't seem to have as much range as those too. But he's in a lot of stuff. It's even more astonishing when you consider Gideon was Sam in Vanquish. Why is this man not a Troy Baker or Nolan North?

Rad as fuckAll those special effects look so pretty.
I think in this case, despite the European aesthetic the Japanese VO is probably going to be best.
Noctis' country is based on Japan.

love the hair color change to orange there, cant wait to see other types of magic being used and seeing is hair change color

He's the expert of capturing the "anime" generic douchebag. Devil May Cry 4, Last Remnant, etc.
It's a safe bet Nolan North and Troy Baker will be in it....because there aren't many games they're not in these days.
I think in this case, despite the European aesthetic the Japanese VO is probably going to be best. No idea if this has changed, but back in 2011 Nomura was having the voice actors come in and record their lines together so they could overlap(I would assume that means interrupt) each other naturally when they delivered their lines.

The game has changed a lot since then so who knows if they still do this, but you can guarantee they would never do that for a dub.
Holy shit! I didn't notice that Noctis goes Super Saiyan with that fire spell! Good catch!
Prompto is that dislikable huh
BRIT ACCENTS OR NOT? PLACE YOUR BETS!He doesn't seem to have as much range as those too. But he's in a lot of stuff.

They are regular japanese-guy hairstyles though. (OK, maybe not regular person, but i'd see these kind of hairstyles all the time, everyday, in tokyo.)
I guess nomura has this kind of "ikemen" fetish?
Expecting a massive Ultimania.
yea isn't this the first time they mentioned the name "Ebony" ?
I always remember them saying it's a custom engine with Luminous technology.
the character models seems tessellated. probably the first extensive use of tessellation in a current gen console game.
Or they are just really high poly. There is no difference.
Even moreso when you consider the crazy hair too. They did a great job making the characters look believeable while still maintaining the art style. Reminds me of Advent Children.yea they are very high polys. best character models I have ever seen and the skin shader is also very impressive

GPGPU can work really well for destruction.yea the hair is great too. I just hope the game retains the intense object physics from last year's e3 demo. it had a lot of interactive objects and some destruction as well, don't know how well the console CPU's will be able to cope up with those.
Ebony is funny given the game started on the 'White Engine'.
All those special effects look so pretty.
Makes you wonder if the Behemoth had to die like that. If it was like a QTE sorta thing. Or if he used Ice or Thunder instead, would he have been destroyed in other fashions?
What do you mean? The animation? That might be the same. Or are you saying that the killing blow had of been the fire?
Yeah. Since it's so fancy looking it makes me feel like it was like a special killing blow. So I'm curious if it -had- to be killed like that. What if Ignus killed it with an auto attack? Would it have just keeled over? lol.
All the art and graphic discussion aside, I absolutly hate what I'm seeing gameplay wise. And it kinda makes me sad and mad at the same time.
Versus was supposed to be different. I totally get this. But when I'm looking at those trailers I'm looking at Final Fantasy XV. And the magic is gone. Actually, quite literally ... gone. Where's my Vita? Where are my Chocobos? I don't doubt that they will be in the game, but I certainly don't like what the devs seem to be focusing on right now. It's been one year since the wall hopping 2013 e3 trailer and while not being the biggest fan of it stuff I can live with that.
I'm sure someone will make a connection to the first XIII hallway trailer and sure, he'll have a point with that. But those trailers simply had that special "it" for me. With XV ... I don't know. It's all about hair and a teleport attack? That's what people are discussing? :/
