I think that the fact that it was originally described as looking like a comic book and "Mike Mignola meets Jack Kirby" and then the initial screenshots were a bit lackluster made a lot of people ambivalent towards it.

3DS screenshots are almost always lackluster.

Gameplay-wise and considering it's an IS game, it sounds like my dream game.


However, it's absolutely hideous to look at. I'm not digging the style, the American-heroes concept, anything.

No, it seems fun. It /looks/ terrible, and since none of us have Acusoly played it yet all we have to go in is how it is presented visually.

I agree the looks of it doesn't make you automatically love it at first site but it kinda grew on me. Kinda reminds me of Freedom Force in art style.

I am more interested in how it plays. I saw some vids and it looks really interesting.

The online multiplayer should really extend replayability.

It's cool there's no need to worry, likewise I'm personally trying my hardest not to react so strongly to trolling about the subject anymore, despite how much I hate the idea or the weird position it's put me in with my favorite series.

Anyways, personally while I think "Codename P.O.O.P" is a bit much, I have to admit that I have no interest in that game like at all. Though, I don't know why, I think maybe it's the genre, but the art style might also play a role in it.

STEAM is day one for me: I'm not crazy about the artstyle (but in movement in 3D will be way better in terms of general visuals, I bet), but the setting is great, the gameplay seems great and the lovecraftanian enemies make it a must buy
