so, let me get this straight, the guy who leaked this said he got the entire directs worth of information while he delivered his segment to his boss who was splicing it all together, and only the bosses are allowed to see what are in the directs so that they can avoid leaks.. and yet this boss let this regular employee stay in his office long enough while he edited the entire thing for the employee to see all the news that he then leaked to the internet?

BS.

How much do you guys wanna bet Nintendo reveals the New 3DS like a surprising new object that will blow out minds as if it did not already exist and was released in other countries for months? I hope they at lease acknowledge that its been out elsewhere for months and don't waste our time hyping up the thing..

But it came out in Japan? How would people in America know about. I mean it's not like they can just walk right over there!

I think you're right

That reddit leak seems a bit plausible

I remain skeptical but stuff that seems grounded and real always gets my brain racing

It does not. Picture the scenario about the boss splicing things together and then the guy seemingly has seen all the content and can describe every bit. Plus Metroid by IntSys?

WTF? lol Get real.

The positivity is always counter-balanced by the crushing negativity after the direct, when people realize their expectations were too high. I'm pretty sure people were upset after last year's January's direct(that one had lots of announcements).

it comes in cycles and it really depends on the quality of the previous direct. I remember the hype leading up to the november direct was not that huge because we all just assumed it would be about smash and captain toad and some smaller stuff, and then nintendo dropped the majoras mask bomb on us. Since the last direct had a megaton, we all get hyped out of control because OF COURSE THIS ONE WILL HAVE BOMBS DROPPED!

Then, after the direct we are all sad and the next next direct will not be super hyped like this...

Miiverse post from the devs saying "more Animal Crossing news next year" = "somewhat?" :)

Well, I like to remain on the pessimistic side with regards to certain things Nintendo. Animal Crossing is one of them because I love the series lol. I'll get excited when I see it.

To be fair he didn't explicitly state that it's not coming, just that they didn't include it cause of how many people would ignore it. Not saying we're getting it but at no point did he state we wouldn't see it again.
Hence the qualifier "practically". What are the chances that Masuda was adamant enough to not include it in the original releases for that reason, but changed his mind at some point after that interview after its release and now considers it important enough to distribute as DLC, something Gamefreak has also been adamant about not wanting to do?

It might return in some other game later on, but the chances it'll be DLC for ORAS might as well be zero.

This is honestly a pretty decent leak. I mean, the Resident Evil port and Ninja Gaiden 3DS things are rather realistic 3rd party content.

Agreed.

Resident Evil port in particular is a detail I wouldn't have thought of that is totally plausible.

Too bad the leaker threw in a bunch of total bullshit.

Anyone who thinks you can gather a ton of information from watching someone edit video has never edited video.

You tend to edit on a scale of seconds, not minutes.

Chances of Zelda showing up? Though if that does come out this year, it probably will be closer to holiday 2015.

Maybe. The Lobby on Gamespot tomorrow is talking about Zelda U on one of their segments (Loveshow On Gamepsot). Oddly specific and timing is right.

Tomorrow on The Lobby we talk Zelda Wii U, the best & worst Resident Evil plus the games available on PlayStation Now

EDIT: by no means does this mean it will get shown.

That's exactly what I was thinking : /. Hope the NA/Europe Directs don't spend too much time talking about the N3DS like if it was something we have never seen before. A 5 minute segment to announce release dates, prices, a cool trailer showing games that will only work on the N3DS and move on.

Virtually non-existant - they promised more info at E3 2015 and broke their rule only several months later, only to save the day at TGA. Which was, speaking of it, not more than a month and a half ago.
