In honor of this news, I just watched Transformers The Movie. Also The Legend of Korra just went on flash sale for 76% off on Steam, and I picked that up as well.

Why does a lot of Gaf forsake Platinum now?

Platinum now sad like Grimlock.

I cant speak for anyone else, but for me my problem is more with Transformers, and not Platinum's ability. I'm confident that they can make the gameplay fun. I am not confident in anyone's ability to get me interested in Transformers. It's just something I stopped enjoying a long long time ago. It's simply not for me. For those who like Transformers AND Platinum, totally get hyped. You will probably get a good game.

And before anybody jumps to conclusions thinking I'm acting like Transformers are for kids, and I'm just trying to be a "too cool for school" guy or something, no I'm not. There are plenty of things from my childhood that are still very dear to me, but Transformers unfortunately didn't stick.

Well then you clearly have no clue about the shit theypull on their licensed titles. Why would anyone trust Activision in anything licensed after the whole Deadpool debacle boggles my mind.
It's not hard to understand that a $60 retail release will have a higher budget than a $15 downloadable game though, right?

Hail, peons, for I have come as ambassador from the great and bountiful Blueberry Butt Explosion
Looking forward to seeing more. I love Platinum and Transformers!

Screens are promising, too.

I can't believe people are mad about this. Platinum has been given a franchise where anime robots punch each other. Maybe this game will sell over a hundred copies.

Korra actually got really fun once you play it on the harder difficulty with all the moves unlocked

Definitely sucks you can't just start from that point though.

This is the point I'm getting at, yeah.

Platinum games have always considered your first playthrough to be a "tutorial" to prepare you for higher difficulties and challenge mode. When Korra came along, people just... forgot this fact!?!?!?...

Other Platinum games are a lot of fun even on their first playthrough (and I disagree that their entire first playthrough is a tutorial. You should know how to play the games well before the end). Korra is just not as good (for a wide variety of reasons) and doesn't make most people want to play it a second time.

Let's not act like it's some sort of misunderstood game. The rest of their games are just all better (or at least the ones I've played - I don't know about MadWorld).

Not sure why people act like Korra was the worst game ever or the combat was bad. Korra's combat has all the basics every other P* titles have. It sure doesn't hit the highs of Bayonetta 2, but for a licensed title it was decent enough.

Yes, but why, is the question I've been asking - and nobody's been willing to explain it.

Also there's no way Korra can be worse than MadWorld.

Korra doesn't actually get that much better or harder on multiple playthroughs. It's slightly improved, but the depth isn't there to sustain going through the game more than twice. Throw in weaker level design, polish and visual fidelity (and a cartoon I don't care for). It's by no means a bad game - very good for a budget licensed title really - but it's hard to recommend playing it over any other Platinum title.

I honestly don't think that this game will be better than Cybertron games from High Moon. Now, don't get me wrong, I like every game made by Platinum except The Legend of Korra for obvious reasons and this... this looks like another The Legend of Korra to me with low production values, potentially repetitive gameplay, weak level design and so on.

High Moon were (and still are I think) true fans of the Transformers universe (G1 in particular, which is my favorite) and they are made the best Transformers games ever, but Platinum.... I don't thinks so, It looks like another order from Activison to make another Transformers game as quickly as possible with Platinum logo on it.

The art style is really slick. I want to see it in motion though. If Activision is going to keep making Transformers games, they might as well try to do something new. This could be good, as long as it isn't rushed.

After this I want somebody to make them do a Super Sentai and Karem Rider game. Because that movie I saw was completely Platinum.
