This is just a couple of idiots broadcasting their vitriol to the public, which gets noticed by their employers, who then appropriately decide that they don't want people like that working for them. Not to mention the HR issues that come with publicly issuing racist insults towards a co-workers child.

Lynching was by no means exclusive to racial atrocities. If a group disagreed with an individual for "being dicks," they'd run them down and string them up. That's what's happening here and you're all cheering it on.

All justice is mob justice, in the sense that all courts are established and supported by the people.
You're going to need to outline more specific criticisms of the events here than "a lot of people agreed enough to help out." That is not, in itself, a winning point.

These white people that were the victim of mob justice were killed because of their color? Because it's pretty clear that's what that post was referencing. Mob justice because some white guy stole a horse isn't the same as hanging a guy because he looked at a white woman the wrong way.
What if the little boy commits suicide after learning of the racist taunting hurled at him? You're worried about the wrong person. And more importantly, the wrong innocent person.

I don't think anyone is saying that either. The problem with lynch mobs is that they're a slippery slope. Who decides what's acceptable behavior and more importantly appropriate punishments befitting the fault?
Lynch mobs aren't known for their nuanced analysis of proper punishment to the crimes, it's usually just the max. Which in internet vigilantism terms means ruining the offenders lives as much as possible.

I used the term "lynch mob" in my first post in this thread. It's become common internet vernacular to refer to these sometimes dangerously aggressive styles of mob justice... though I agree that we definitely shouldn't be normalizing it like I did and some other posters did and I apologize for my use of it so flippantly.
Bombassador, stick to threads about inaccuracy in The Flinstones' world, that's a sort of trolling that doesn't make you look like a total tool.

When someone asks you where you got a black kid, you don't answer with "it was feral" as some kind of joke referencing the rowdiness of the kid. Thats a tactless joke that will more than likely always be interpreted as racist.

All of the "slip up once and you're ruined forever" talk is bullshit when it comes to this story. They all casually dropped these racist quips on his status because this is how they talk all the fucking time in private. This is the one time they got caught.
They probably talk all the fucking time like that on his feed too, but this time it blew up because it was someone's kid.
That's why I question the idea of "avoiding social media" because you might slip up. Most of the people who get blasted don't "slip up" they immerse themselves in racist bullshit and are called out for one example among likely many.
