Pretty much. Canada is better, but not that much better. Remember the hijab issue? That law Quebec tried to pass about religious symbols? The last separation referendum that passed by a hair? To a degree we are America-lite with fewer guns.

This is true. I don't actually choose days when people visit the city to attend, it's just been how it is the two times I showed up - Smelly and Pacbois. :p

Sucks that we didn't do a meet-up for Acid though. Would've been cool to meet him, especially with the shirt he made out of one of my photoshops. I'm about 99% sure I was working the entire time he was here though.

Two years @ 2.55m a year cap hit. Not bad at all. That deal is done just as Koivu's done as well, so I imagine that Dumba will take a good chunk of that 6.750 cap hit that Koivu has.

Can't imagine that one of Scandella/Spurgeon/Brodin is not traded by that time as well. One of those three has to go. Leaning toward Spurgeon but I have no idea.

When I was in my early 20s I was doing the same shit with SoulSilver (and The Office too, probably, lol)

god damn I played that game a lot. probably the last game that I really poured like hundreds of hours into.

We are in the same boat. Doing at 11x13 patio, just the rough rectangle it is. One of the main reasons I'm doing it is because my yard is super slanted. I've got to build one side up almost nine inches (about six over the grass level) on one side.

All the stones are in the backyard, which is good, and obviously the sod is all taken care of (that sucked hard). Now it's just wheeling gravel from the side of the house to the back, leveling it all, then putting the chips and dust down, then the stones, then the silicate for between the cracks, then build the gazebo who's purchase prompted this whole nightmare in the first place.

Edit: And tamping. Can't forget the tamping.

I forgot the tamping. Hahaha. Oh yes, the tamping. My gf's father had this homemade welded version that's heavier than a standard one. I thought to myself, hey... this'll be like a really good arm workout. Man fuck that thing. I'll still try to do it all manually but I may cave and rent a machine or a wheel.

And yes, ripping out sod was tons of joy. I had cramps in my hands for 3 days lol. The edger really helped, so thankful I bought that, but still. And now a bunch of the rest of the lawn is fucked because of us tracking moist clay/dirt all over, and the wheelbarrow etc. I kinda wanna rip it all out and start fresh next Spring with paths and nicer grass where we decide to keep it green (like Kentucky blue grass or whatever).

Anyway, good luck to us both!

Also, to anyone trying NHL 17, how is it? Any different?

With all the pokemon Go craze, I have had a massive hankering for the Pokemon games other than Go. I still have yet to download it. But damn Fire Red is so good. When I get my 2DS I need to replenish my Pokemon games.

I need new gen 1 remakes, I can't go pre gen 4 anymore, it just feels too archaic D:

I really don't need gen 4 remakes at this point, so I'm hoping they go back and remake gen 1 again for gen 7. Would be perfect.

On an tangential point this is my biggest beef with couches. They are the most difficult thing to move in and out of a house. Do the people who make them never consider fitting them through a doorframe?

well since i have been away from them for quite some time now it makes it a lot easier for me.

I want to play through Platinum, Black and White, ORAS, X or Y and then Sun or Moon

Thanks for the NHL 17 beta code,Wingfan. Basically spent an hour or so building a custom player and team, and trying out a drop-in EASHL game.

Customization seems extensive on both team and player. Would've liked to have seen more head options for darker-skinned players. It's basically something like 100+ light skin heads and 3 or 4 black skin heads.

Custom-created teams are actually really cool, but I wish EA would allow imported and/or combining logos. The custom logos are pretty much the same ones from before.

Arena designing is pretty vast, but left me wanting more options.

Having not touched EASHL in ages, I was terrible as expected. I was pretty much a liability, especially calling for the puck when the AI players have it. It's become habit for me to spam the pass button after playing offline for so long.

Loved Portland. I really almost never left. Was living in NYC at the time and wanted to transfer over after a two week visit/party trip. Had a roommate lined up and everything. Jetski in the afternoon and snowboard in the evening. Mount Hood is awesome. So many good memories. I need to go back.

Had fun in Seattle too but Portland is my fave on the West Coast.

A lot of focus seems to have gone to even more options, which is great. Just wish there were more options for non-white players. Admittedly, I've only scrolled through in brief. There are a lot of tanned/darker skinned heads though. Just thins out when you hit black people. I may be exaggerating in the proportions, but there are actually over a hundred head options.

Women seem to have more options too, at least from when I last tried create-a-player a couple of years ago.

Be A GM isn't an option on the beta, just creating teams.

There were like 175 heads the last few years. Not sure why theyd remove them.

Pretty sure logo/arena customization is a system of play more = progress more = unlock more options for everything. According to a video EA put up a week or two ago.

Beta is EASHL only to test how the changes are and online servers and all that.
