I didn't know the video games are based on books.
Why? that makes no sense.

Seriously? Imo he is an actor of one voice tone, one face expression and zero emotions. Good to play one-dimensional thug, but surely not Geralt.
BRB losing 12 hours of my life on TW3. Once more.Perhaps because people assumed Roach to be male, whereas she's a mare? So they've given her male voice. In the quest Geralt asks her why does she sound so manly, and she wonders why would he assume her voice if he had never heard another horse talk.

Shit, sounds cools even though I have zero confidence in it being good.
Agreed. In the books it says how it's the name Geralt gives to all his mares.
Could they completely cut Ciri out of it? She was the worst part of all the stories.
Not at all. The plot is esentially the same. It's weird and requires the player who's read the books a very strong effort on their side to suspend their disbelief. I have yet to read LOTR and saw the movies ages ago, but imagine a new RPG game retelling esentially the same story, just set years after the novels, so that Frodo's back at the Shire until Gandalf visits and assigns him the task of getting back to Mordor with a new ring. And then every event of the books with minimal modifications happens again sooner or later.A lot actually, the games take place years after the final book. To illustrate, during the events of the books, Ciri is 15-16 years old.
Andrzej will finally get some green. Will it make him shed his grumpy grampa persona, you ask? Stay tuned.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!
Just a reminder, that CDPR holds The Witcher trademark and back in 2015 their CEO said, that the upcoming Platige adaptation won't be able to use that name.
Wait so this is CG? Not live action?
Is Ciri in the books?
Til she's about a 16. And more, but spoilers. Well, not really if you've played 3.As a small girl, appears in the 3rd book onwards.

Do you want mass audiences? It will be a CG or animated series.
Well technically (book spoilers)she was in the first book as well.
yeah, because all Netflix produced shows are so terrible and low quality? /s
Awesome! I've been wanting a Witcher TV series since I first saw Maul Cosplay's Geralt:
The character could totally work in live-action.
