Akuma's fine, but possibly the most boring choice they could have made.
Kolin is alright.
Ed? Nothing but hatred for his redesign. Not a fan of the weird hold button gameplay either.
I haven't. I dropped SFV completely months ago shortly after Akuma was released. I didn't even know about Ed until two weeks after he was released. Looked up the leaks and I thought the two last characters could be okay. Don't know enough about Menat and Zeku might be interesting. Guy was one of my favorites in the Alpha series.
I like his design, but I do prefer his story and battle outfit ( his battleoutfit should have just been his outfit imo) I also think kolin is great, I don't think akuma was boring, he was a highly requested character, he fulfilled that.
But if season 2 was a let down for you, I hope you like the rest of it

Sodom and Rolento were about as irrelevant as Abigail, aside from having more unique designs. Hugo is just meant to be a generic Andore, so he'd be even more irrelevant.

I don't know, I think he's terrible. Worst SF characters of all time for me personally are Laura, Rufus, El Fuerte, Crimson Viper, and Fang in that order. Opinions and all that :/

I like Final Fight but there are more deserving characters from the franchise
I thought Abigail had darker skin? What's going on? This doesn't match the initial SFV design

Oh trust me, I would trade abigail for maki in like... 2 seconds as far as new Final fight characters to SF ( barring alpha 3 max) goes.
But by law I am obligated to play all final fight characters that show up for a period of time.

Similar to Sentinel in MvC3, super-tall characters really stand out in these games. It's great for visual variety. His animation is top-notch, too.
Also, is this a vintage Final Fight character? That's great, if so.

Hm...I like his one move that bonces the opponent off the wall. Also I would like to see his health. He has quite a few armor moves.

Considering the source of both characters I'm not sure what further liberties they could've taken to differentiate Abigail enough from Hugo while still sticking close to his original design. FF characters never really seemed to have had the luxury that characters like Ken or Guile in SFV got in terms of redesigns.
Abigail being super exaggerated works in his favor of making him stand out from the rest of the cast and from Hugo specifically, for better or for worse imo.
It's also damn hilarious/amazing.
