Bit silly that he makes Zangief look like a midget. That's a bit too jarring for me. But I don't hate the design.

You are as wrong as it gets. The criteria for good design can never be being appealing or iconic. A good design fulfills the idea behind what is designed. In this case, a gargantuan, ridiculous, grotesquely brutal fighter with a taste of vintage street gangs. Does this design fits that criteria? Yes, 100%

It's fine disliking the design (it's not my thing either), but calling it bad design is ignorant.

I feel with a lot of the ones you mentioned they have a sort of fitting presence while still maintaining the weird/goofy. Abigail is like pushing it to just how far they can take things.

1)Yes Agreed Remy is not anywhere as popular as Q. As shown in recent polls.

2) Remy is hardly the least popular/worst character like you are making it out to be.

He placed higher than multiple characters that I feel have a reasonable fanbase like Hugo,Boxer,Abel. And also Higher than character that people seem hyped about like Oro,Necro.
So saying he will never be in SFV is not really assured, Hes not a guranteed character thats for sure.

3) Remy uses martial art Savate , which is always cool to include more martial arts in SF games.

4) I get that there is a lot of hate , because people hate his "Emo" attitude. But lets be real , SF is filled with different tropes. Nothing wrong in adding an Emo one.

I get that character popularity isnt the be all end all , I mean you have a character like Ingrid has a lot of fans. And she follows the Magical Girl trope which isnt really there in SF. But IMO I feel like her design is too different than the cast , she seems like character that would fit in Blazblue or GG than SF.

I gave Capcom props for the Sakura/Sagat rumor in the other thread and said I'd jump back in if they did that, also gave them props for the Super rumor as well and I apparently have an agenda? Nah, I just call shit like I see it. You got upset at a fact I stated here and you went on to denounce it because you can't take anyone's negative opinion. You've acted this way towards everyone's comments towards this game because you've got a problem with people disliking what you like. Most people in this thread dislike Abigail as well so are you going to denounce that too? What you need to do is take the cape off and realize you look silly going after people's negative opinions towards this game. I think he'd look so much better if they toned down the ridiculous shoulders. I expected a monster, but they overdid it so that he looks absurd from the side. The character art image looks more reasonable.

I explained I don't have an issue with some people not liking his design and explained why I didn't take YouTube dislikes seriously yet you thought to write an entire 3rd grade essay stating otherwise. Yea his default design looks like a total freak but his alt costumes have different body proportions that are slightly toned down.

I think they're all using the exact same frame. It's a side effect of how much changing his head affects his overall profile.

That art is just something a guy at Capcom cooks up and usually has little relevance to how they actually look in game (see Akuma). This Abigail's skin tone matches his original FF look.

I don't mind Remy, I mean I don't really like him but if people do then hey they can like what they like. The 3 series was a weird series in itself that many people love due to a multitude of factors. I love it for the music, vibe, stages and look but others might love it for the gameplay and others might love it for the characters. It just depends on the person really. If they want Remy then hey it's cool with me.

I just want Sakura and Sagat.

I don't see whats so random. Same skin tone as the original, as well as same color cloths with a change in print. Instead of chains he used rope which makes more sense with the tire. He replaced the dumb ass tires that are on his arms with 1 single, big tire. Overall it actually reminds me of Abigail, unlike whats here in Street Fighter 5, which looks like an entirely new character.

Besides, its a rough sketch.

It's weird, usually I see people get real mad when a character is too skinny (like Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool), so I thought Gaf would love Abigail. I guess that's just the community side though. I'm surprised the gaming side isn't stoked about Abigail's size though, seems right up neogaf alley.
