Remember there is 2 4* units in that banner, so yet again it will be very hard to get the one you need / want.

Exp pro dungeon 20 nrg -> With anniversary ring gives ~87k xp

Thanks.... That good to know for times when you just wanna burn stamina and don't have anything else lined up. For example I ran the 26 stamina stages of the current event today even though I don't really need them anymore.... Would have made more sense to level up my Veritas of Light instead.

Don't forget that the anniversary ring gives you an extra 30% EXP. I was able to get Ayaka from 0 -100 using PRO and the ring in about two days. It's definitely a viable option to raise someone quickly. The only downside is that it will take pretty much all of your NRG for those two days to get there.

Edit: Holy moly... I was late with this advice.

Non offensive TMs not being stackable is complete bullshit, Gumi irritates me so fucking much with these decisions.

People would seriously pull on this banner for multiple Crowes, it's mind boggling how idiot Gumi is.

Yeah, it's pretty quick. Usually do it in a few runs with 4x exp multiplier (2 growth eggs, 4 Actions!). They need to start giving out equipment with exp. multipliers now. lol

I'm guessing they are looking ahead to Lila, where SPR becomes becomes an offensive stat.

Without Nyx's rumored new TM and upgrades, and without Crowe stacking, I'm probably gonna skip this banner. I'll get Crowe off-banner eventually. Shame its on a mog king event.

Went auto pilot the last few days and didn't check in here. Fairly mundane while awaiting the next event. Not massively exciting either, I have THREE Nyx in JP. Great starting off bu he fell to the wayside fairly quickly. Still use one on m arena team there though.

This event is a handy energy sink. Got a second Ayaka from the free pull this morning. Might be useful to be able to cast four reraises a turn a some point so can't complain, a rainbow is a rainbow...5* ticket was Queen mind you, so I take it with a pinh of salt. TM seems nice at least. Knew I should have waited. No real non limited 5*s that I wan left in the pool that I don't already have ba Greg. Pulled and hoped I got him. Really should have waited...

Man, TM farming really is soul crushing when you look at it. I had mine set to run overnight, and I wake up to like 1.5% average gains. If it's going to be .1% gain, it should be guaranteed per battle. I mean c'mon now Gumi, there's so much shit out there to farm. I get having the carrot there in the beginning and mid-term of the game, but by now there's no way we'd run out of TM farming stuff.

I don't think that's it as GL Lila's BiS will only require one anyways (staff mastery, Silt's TM, water Veritas' TM, crowes TM). Not really sure what the logic is. At least it makes my life easy when it comes to pulls.

0.1 per battle would he neat, but it would make tm farming to easy. I could see this change on jpn in the future due to the way they handle tmrs. On global it would give us 5 tms for 800 lapis without actually playing the game.

You say too easy, but at this point, they want us pulling the units for the TM farming. If I knew I could raise 5 TMs for 800 lapis, that's 800 lapis I'd actually spend instead of hoarding for banners or whatever else. We've hit a saturation point now that all the "must have" TMs in your inventory are probably finished, so this gives new players a chance to catch up easier, as well as lets us farm some of those "nice to have" TMs that sit in the backlog for now. I see it as a win from both sides.

Ah! I do have it after all! Thanks for that. I always get everything from non mog king events, I'm just more particular of what I buy from the mog king.

Question then, is it really more effective to use Organyx than Excalibur? Excal not only has a much higher attack, but chains perfect with Orlandeu which is the most commonly shared unit. For trials where the boss has resistance to light but not dark, that'd make sense but how about for most enemies that don't have a light resistance?

As for TM farming, I don't think it really needs to be a challenge. The challenge is getting particular units that have the TM you want and that's where Gummi really makes their money anyway. People will always desire new units plus you can create a carrot on a stick whenever pulls slow down by introducing a new superior TM on an otherwise undesirable unit.

Just completed Victoria's TM robe for my Emperor, he sure feel weird about wearing it.
870 MAG now, I doubt I can reach 1k with his GL enhancement, but I'll be very close.

So does Nyx chain with himself without breaking or not? Because if not he is as garbage as Beatrix, having better multipliers means jack shit when you can't capitalize on that.

Well yeah. if the enemy is weak to light you should use that. The issue is that every boss resists light these days. Not so much for dark.

You all aren't thinking about TM's from a designer's perspective. Making TMs too easy shrinks the gap between whales and F2P. The game must have a noticeable gap between them to make whales feel good and entice F2P. Also, if Gumi is allowed to assume every player has a ton of TMs the game difficulty goes through the roof. Be prepared for every trial to become an over-tuned mess like Marlboro.

Of course if the enemy is weak to light that's the way to go haha I meant for regular fair that doesn't have a weakness to either light or dark, I would think it's best to keep Excalibur on most of the time for synergy with friend Orlandeu units and utilize its higher attack. I just wanted to make sure that's the case since multiple people said to use Organyx but they may have just meant for circumstances where light is resisted or maybe just didn't know I had Excal available. Agreed on the comment about light resistance, it's annoying how often trial bosses have it and it makes it feel like a giant waste of time to have farmed Excal at times.They need to cool it with light resistance already. They don't need to be weak to it, just don't make them all resistant!

I don't think making TMs quicker to farm changes that paradigm, whales will still be on top because they get all the units while f2p miss out on most of the 5* bases. A lot of the best TMs come from 5* bases too. If anything, it might further encourage f2p to start paying because TMs would be a lot more alluring for f2p if it wasn't such a time consuming drag to learn them. I know a number of people that refuse to ever farm them and if that's the case, they'll never pull for a unit based on TM alone which is all that's worthwhile for a majority of units in the game. At least after getting a good team. I won't disagree with your comment that the game would become more difficult though. That said, I think it already has for a lot of non whale teams as far as trials go.

Also, holy crap to 6 rainbows 0_0 that's bananas. I wonder if we'll ever get step up over here, seems like the type of thing Gummi wouldn't give us. I guess we'll see when Sephy comes out!

Can Nyx chain without breaking? I've read somewhere that his chain breaks, and instead of a 31-hit continues chain with DW, it breaks into 2 x 15-hit chain. This is important damage-wise as that 935% means nothing if Nyx doesn't gain the 4x bonus on 10-hits and above after chaining. Orlandu's 780% 27-hit DR chain might outdamage Nyx's 935% 2 x 15-hit chain.

I don't know off the top of my head as I don't have Nyx. However, if I'm reading the frame data correctly, he should? It looks like it should work in the one video I saw of two Nyxs in the same party though the chain broke in that video.

This banner the only Rainbow that seems to exist is Reagan. :p

So glad the 4th step yielded Jiraiya instead of a Reagan too. But then again I wouldn't have done step 5 if that was the case.

I'm still waiting to experience the fabled blue-gold-rainbow transformation myself. My cousin started just after the FFX banner and has had the devil's luck. Ridiculous how many rainbows he's obtained as a F2P and apparently they've all come like this. Think he said he hasn't had it go straight rainbow yet.

On a serious note, the only reason to wait is for a particular unit to be added to the pool but keep in mind a bunch of other units you don't want can be added before then, further diluting the pool. If you want Nyx you can wait until Friday or if you want the limited Halloween units, you can wait until then since Nyx will be the only thing added before then but if you want something months off, you're really going to be playing in a diluted pool.


On this note, when did the leaks say we're getting another guaranteed 5* banner again? I want to say New Years or maybe Christmas time frame.
