It certainly could be more comprehensive but uninteresting? Tons of discussion spawned from the teardown.
You are not that naive are you?
If I took video from DF and just used it to talk over, they or MS would claim it. As it is theirs to own, rightly so. The same as they or anyone did that to me (which people on YT do, more often that I realised).
Sony do not and as such, I can do a video on it, as can DF if they wished to.
Nothing special here, and why on earth do I keep getting dragged into negative comments or positive ones about DF?
Always yeah DF are X but NX is Y, what have I got to do with this argument!
I agree, if one questions their work ethics and doesn't find them impartial, i personally think there is only one right thing to do; unsubscribe, stop watching their content and stop using them as a source to strengthen arguments.11 pages of comment, when it really just comes down to:
DF are free to talk about what they want on their YouTube channel.
YOU are free to not watch it if you don’t like the content they put out.
The same is true of every gaming YouTuber.
Simple. No point complaining, if you continue to subscribe and view their content.
What if DF already have a PS5 or just going to get one from the Sony soon, and they are behind NDA agreement? What would be point then to make a video about Sony's teadown, if they may just preparing (or going to) they own one? I see no point to double materiasl then. I think some people on Gaf looking for some DF anti-Sony things that don't exist.

As if that was anything more than a publicity stunt come on. Are we still trying to make some “concern” up by implying something sinister around not getting some outlets flown over?
Again, tell me what details we have gotten out of the HW that we missed because they did not buy a plane ticket and gave exclusive access to DF and got them to sign a please do not say anything negative NDA ?
You have the tear downs and the coverage of each posted above... what did Leadbetter offer there that we did not get otherwise?
I'm talking about current situation. Can I ask you why with all these comparisons they still sometimes prefer the PS4 version’s of some games even though the X1X version looked better?
I'm talking about current situation.
It's clear there is some kind of deal between MSFT and DF about what they can say and when about XSeX and XSeS.
That's an NDA and it's standard. Every youtuber that received an XSX is restricted in what they can disclose.I'm talking about current situation.

Well, he is right.
The teardown video didn't exactly answer many questions. I enjoyed watching it for what it was - breaking down the console into its component parts.
For example, still don't have confirmed features for the GPU. Just "RDNA 2 based", whatever that means.
And again there already was one speaking of cpu made for gamesI think this is because everyone is waiting on the AMD event later this month though.
they have NDA's about what can and cannot be shown. not a deal, why does it have to be a deal?
Yes it's an NDA but also a deal for preferential early access. That's an NDA and it's standard. Every youtuber that received an XSX is restricted in what they can disclose.
Want to be perceived as an impartial journalist, be mindful of how you say what you say. The day I see a skeptical approach towards both vendors is the day the tide changes for me... while only one of them has clearly the benefit of the doubt, well my perception of Battaglia and Leadbetter stays the same.
I think it's very difficult to stay impartial when X gives you all the info you want, while Y doesn't. X seems to care about DF, while Y doesn't care at all.
Both use different strategies, but DF does rely on new and exclusive information. MS has them covered, hence (maybe) a tendency towards MS. Seems pretty basic and natural to me.
It's the fault of Y then for not completing with marketing of XI think it's very difficult to stay impartial when X gives you all the info you want, while Y doesn't. X seems to care about DF, while Y doesn't care at all.

I will post my deep analysis on this situation shortly.
Yes it's an NDA but also a deal for preferential early access.
It also limits them from doing real analysis of XSeX and XSeS.
it's also why he often say reach me if that happens !The A in NDA stands for Agreement.......Agreement and Deal are synonyms.
If NXGamer or whoever is even remotely interested in nextgen games was given the same deal im sure he would take it....doesnt mean he is a shill its part of doing business, do you want the console early? Yes, then dont talk about the nextgen games running on it or talk about the Series S.....which all the journos who went to the Series X reveal actually already saw.
The NDA clearly wasnt tight enough because we got a whole bunch of leaks about it.
As NXGamer gets bigger and bigger, he will likely start getting these kinds of offers from Sony/MS/Nintendo and other big companies........it can be weird because being "friends" with a company you are going to be critical about muddles the waters a bit, but the other choice is stop dealing with them and do everything yourself, which isnt the easiest thing when you arent a massive channel already.
GamersNexus can say fuck you to manufactures because they know they can afford to not be "friendly" with MSI, a smaller channel would be very conflicted.
Its pretty básic and natural if you are unprofessional, being impartíal its very important on they kind of análisisI think it's very difficult to stay impartial when X gives you all the info you want, while Y doesn't. X seems to care about DF, while Y doesn't care at all.

Ok BoomerPS5 teardown happened for some days already and DF did nothing to cover the Sony event.
While they keep doing videos about old games nobody cares.
When asked why the reply:
As of late Crash Bandicoot 4 is only thing what I would call real analysis from them.you mean the real analysis that they are currently doing
Did you read what you are complaining about?Yeah I bet they are super salty about not getting a PS5 when nobody else has gotten one either... . So Salty....I'm not thinking they are the salty ones... Do you guys even read what you are complaining about? It makes sense to not do a teardown video on a console without...... You know.... Having the console to tear down. Like I said before... Whining.
Wasn’t this the guy who also thought there is nothing wrong with the first Halo Infinite showcase?

He made a 15 minute video about 1 thing of interest to him in the Halo trailer. Which for previews is the norm for DF.He made a whole video about what he thought was wrong with Halo Infinite.
To be honestWell played by Microsoft, they handed a bunch of console to YouTuber and they've started trashing on Sony. I'm thinking Jeff Grubb, Austin Evans and now DF. Not that it's a big lost, I mean pixel count and framerate is just fuel for fanboys in the end. It doesn't make a great game.
You are actively looking for bias and determined to find it. Are you surprised that you do?Why comment on that? Why call it uninteresting on the same week other analysis videos of the teardown highlighted or clarified at least some other details and knowing how much interest and buzz it generated?

At this point whatever they say is jumped on by the usual suspects, twisted, contorted and tortured to fit a preconception.
However that preconception is borne of your bias, not theirs.
Exactly. Controlled conditions are not an ideal way to review anything. The PS5 hands on videos we've seen recently were all under tightly controlled conditions. The teardown video is exactly what Sony want to show you and not an atom more. How is this different though from the "review camps" that were common pre-Gamergate? You know like when Konami flew journo's out so they could pre/review MGSV under strictly controlled conditions.

I'd rather put my faith in reviews that have full access to any software/hardware.
If DF don't have the hardware they can't tear it down, there's no point in talking about someone else's video. DF are the biggest in their field, if Sony wants their coverage then they should supply them with hardware to examine.

When asked why the reply:
The guy is a total Xbox/PC fan.
I've noticed that 'projection' and 'victim card' are two of your regular go-to smears for attempting to avoid an actual response. They don't actually apply here and they're right up there with 'strawman' on my list of cheap, lazy retorts. FWIW, none of those are mic-drops. Using those phrases is not an instant argument winner.Sure, I am actively looking = I do not close my eyes and ears whenever it happens and pretend it is not there. Projection and victim card always a useful combo.
See my other reply. So doing the teardown coverage in MS’s controlled environment after they flew him over and speculating for minutes and minutes on things he had no data on were ok, but doing an update/reaction video to Sony’s one was suddenly more interesting than an unpatched disc copy of Assassin’s Creed Unity running on XSX for almost 15 minutes?
Ok... .
I very much doubt Alex is an Xbox fan at all. And it would be 'Far' more interesting if SONY actually gave the press a PS V so they could play it and also a Tera down with members of the press present
But like usual on here, Restera or the Twitter one can't be in any shape or way negative against PlayStation...
I remember that in the first reaction video with all 3 DF guys he was super happy with it and the other two pretty much told him all that was wrong about it.He made a whole video about what he thought was wrong with Halo Infinite.
The post about DF not discussing Sony's video and preferring to do their own is not evidence of bias. If anything it's a sign of professionalism. They're the biggest site of their type, yet you want them to wax lyrical about Sony's teardown purely on faith? They should wait till they have their hands on the hardware and do their own teardown

Sorry to break it to you.

I've heard a lot of people, such as your good self, claim that DF is anti-Sony. Yet I've never seen any of you present a single piece of compelling evidence to support the claim.
Given that you're make a claim, it's up to you to prove that claim.
When you reply I hope to see the actual evidence of this clear bias. Otherwise, don't bother.
