omg who gives a fuck about loading times in that game they are so well hidden.

Its already 60 fps. You're welcome.

wait whut?Its already 60 fps. You're welcome.
TLOUR was 60fps from the beginning.wait whut?
Nah talking about the second oneTLOUR was 60fps from the beginning.
You write that like he can read your comment.Reading is not exactly rocket science
...I mean it's a better game.Nah talking about the second one
People still play the FIRST?
Someone posted a tweet showing Until Dawn got updated tooUntil Dawn doesn't get patches from 2015, this "instant loading" in the tweet was on PS4 Pro from the beginning.
For the TLOU i also think that their decompression was singlethreaded, ported straight from ps3 version, and now they add proper multithreading to it.
Until Dawn also got a patch and now has zero load times ?
So does that means devs were lazy or is new tech getting implemented ?
Why would that matter? Fast loading times is fast loading times. So proof that there is more going on to the new ps5 loading routines than just a fast ssd?
Sony should have been honest like the competition and kept the PS4 version slow to make cross generation comparisons look more favorable to the PS5.
lol two of the funnier back to back posts I've seen on this forum recently.Even Sony would rather put work into the better last of us. Don’t blame them at all.

It’s about time they let us in on this secret. You think this is good?
Next week they’re releasing information on how Crash 1 on Playstation now loads the next level in eight seconds before you finish the last one.
This causes a rip in the fabric of spacetime to an alternate dimension where Halo Infinite runs at 8k 240FPS and Stone Cold Steve Austin is President.
The whole thread is about the first game getting patched.Nah talking about the second one

Should be possible with the disc version of itIt would be fascinating to compare an unpatched version of TLOUR on PS5 with this on PS4. Be very curious to see which loaded better.
Apparently this is rolling out to a number of other 1st party titles, including God of War:
"Other first-party titles like God of War have also seen their load time reduced, reportedly due to a new compression system that's thought to have been introduced in preparation for backwards compatibility on Sony's upcoming console, PS5. It's been speculated by some that this tech may have been quietly utilised in the development of Ghost of Tsushima, too."
PS4 loading times are improved as patches all but remove loading screens in first-party games
A new patch has reportedly improved the loading times of first party PlayStation 4 games The Last of Us: Remastered and…www.eurogamer.net
I think it was always more than just the SSD. It's the SSD, the dedicated decompression hardware/custom system bus, and newer and significantly better compression. So proof that there is more going on to the new ps5 loading routines than just a fast ssd?
With the way that Sony has scheduled what the influenzas are allowed to talk about with the pre-launch units that were sent out, it feels like this is part of it.
I bet they re-did a lot of these PS5 PS+ list games so that they load in less than 2 seconds. The day will come where influenzas can show off backwards compatibility, and when they do, they will show a game like Until Dawn or Last of Us Remastered loading instantly.
It would be incredible but alas wouldn’t that require all the third parties to do the work? It would be awesome if this technique was some sort of kernel level dll or similar as part of the firmware. What if third party Ps4 games got this, and loaded faster on Ps4 than the same games on Series X?
Meanwhile, That Falcon indie game devs are bragging about achieving 13s on XSX lol.
GoT will have a minor update to 'unlock' the framerate and probably the 60 fps will be the famouns 'brute force' used when PC get bumps. Thats don't mean GoT will get a 'true' PS5 version like Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk.
Keep in mind that running the game at 60fps not mean the game 'receive' the proper PS5 version.
Dude, getting a PS5 version is more than just an update. They need to rework on the game to take full advantage of the PS5, not only just boosting the game because of the PS4 x PS5 specs.
Until ND and SP are free to work on their game on the PS5, none of those updates will get a real decent boost. There are more beyond fps. Resolution, texture, loading times, add ray tracing, lod, AA, etc...
I believe thats why they started with TLOUS. Is already an old game, so take less time than the recent PS4 games that really take advance of PS4 custom hardware.

How ?
Magic ?
Or the PS4 thinks its a PS5 now ?
There never was a claim that it was just the SSD, you need better APIs and hardware decompression to decouple loading from the CPU as much as possible. So proof that there is more going on to the new ps5 loading routines than just a fast ssd?
Must be all those textures that take all this time to load! The Falconeer?

it was badly optimized on launch,. that's how
These are literally the Series X videos where people went crazy last week--impressive.Apparently this is rolling out to a number of other 1st party titles, including God of War:

It was purely sarcastic, I actually kind of like the style... Just not sure how Sony managed to make loading times so much better all of a sudden, must be all the R&D in data compression that ended up having some application on old hardware. Now that's really interesting.
I never said it was pretty. To be fair it's the first time that I've seen screenshots of the game.
Isn't this the game that uses ZERO textures?Must be all those textures that take all this time to load!
Of course. But a SSD just really helps.
But no I didn't read it.
