Love the artists and tracks you guys put on the thread ! Some I recognize, some I never heard of.

I’ve been a dnb fiend since i heard dj timecode set in gta 3. There was a barge in Paris called the batofar which threw great parties where the boat was literally rocking from left to right to the beat with the sheer amount of people dancing 💃 great times!

Big junglist aficionado too, i listened to congo natty a lot throughout my college years.

Any dnb fan on here who hasn't checked Doc Scott's streams on Twitch every Saturday night should seriously do so. 62 sets all through lockdown and still going strong. Techno set every last Saturday of the month aswell :messenger_fire:

Also if you're a fan of that electro style of DnB I highly recommend this, its old but such a different take on DnB, quite a nice summer evening mix

LOL no man I was joking, I was blown 4 feet back from my desk after clicking the lower one.

anyway just about forgot about this General Levy tune, where he makes "shape of you" into an excuse to talk about the chicks in the gym he goes to:

Incredible.

(See what I did there)

This won't be as smooth as what my upstairs neighbourg has graciously pulled up :)
But for those who have a hard time waking up on this monday morning, this is the perfect remedy.

I present to you.... The ADD mix :

(don't be fooled by the uk garage start)

From them this if my favorite track. Donno why, just have a connection with it. I was visiting Japan back then, was in the train looking through the window and this tune came up and it will forever remind me of that moment.

When I was visiting NYC yeeeears ago, I first heard Blu Mar Ten when I was leaving. Last thing I saw was a partially built One World Trade Center and this track has stuck with me:

Do you feel good? You will after listening to Maduk! 😍

ran into this while browsing some old facebook posts... goes back to 2008, and I still think it's pretty hilarious

I had brown paper bag - roni size on vinyl and some white labels back in the day. Plus various mix tapes. Wish I still had them 😪

Always found them too hard to mix compared to 4/4 tunes though, and they were easier to dance badly too 😂

Mix the first beat of the bar and hi-hat, for pacing, snare is your sync point..most of the time, depending on the drum pattern

I hung up my headphones years ago, only got one deck now.

To be honest I'd often end up with double beats just trying to match a kick drum 😂, used traktor and mixmeister a few years ago and wished I'd had those as a teen.

I used to be a flight attendant so travelled around a lot and most of the time, the airports were quite far off from the downtown area where our hotel was. So Id always zone out in the bus, staring out the window in this new country there and back the next day. So I have quite a few albums that whenever I listen to them, would always remind me of a certain place. For example:

Daft Punk - Ram: Hong Kong
AtariTeenageRiot - Is this hyperreal : Osaka, Japan
GnR - Appetite for Destruction: NYC
Ghost - Meliora: Zimbabwe

etc :D

EDIT: Chase & Status are boss as well, have both aggressive and nostalgia sounding tracks. From one of their older ones:

And this was. a classic in clubs:
