Well, anyone who would do that misunderstands the purpose of this anyway. It's just for those who are curious to see how the results differ, not something to bludgeon people outside of our circle with. The results thread is going to be loaded with complaints and taste warz but I would hope that everyone here is above expressing crass tribalism out in the open.

I dunno, it's pretty much true that Precure shows have a fifty-fifty chance of being, at least to my sensibilities, decent. The problem with Doki Doki, at least from my point of view, is that the character designs are more reminiscent of Suite - a franchise installment I found mostly underwhelming - than the looser designs of a Heartcatch of Smile. Whilst the later shows have designs which are more conductive to comedic expression and hyper-kinetic action - the things I tend to like about Precure - the designs in Suite, and seemingly Doki Doki, were a little too busy to pull that off in the same fashion.

So, really, it's kind-of past experience telling me I might not enjoy it so much. I'm still going to give it a chance - I think a lot of my enjoyment of the series is going to depend on how they handle the villains (again, one of the reasons Heartcatch and Smile are top-tier Cure shows is because of their highly personable antagonists). I'm still running catchup on Smile at the moment, though, so I'm not really in a hurry to get to it.

Oh, you were asking about Precure figures yesterday of the non-Chibi variety yesterday, right? There's... not really all that much. Megahouse did a bunch of fairly nice figures from various series, but this Cure Muse from Suite (admittedly adorable) is pretty much the only one still widely available. You'd have better luck with the Bandai Figuarts line in terms of actually finding stuff, but those, whilst not Prize Figures, are in pretty much the upper-level of that kind of quality level. Pretty much as much of a quality crapshoot as Prize Figures as well, as far as I can judge from those I've seen in person. The only Figuarts figure I've actually got is the Nagisa from AKB0048 I got yesterday (at 70+% discount) - that's OK quality wise, though at some nebulous scale between 1/8 and 1/10, it's probably a bit smaller than you tend to like your figures to be.

Their upcoming Cure Peace is kind of cute, though.

OH SHIT IM LATE FOR SCHOOL RUNNING WITH TOAST IN MY MOUTH!
Usagi and Naru see some dignified looking lasses exit from a limo. They are attending some sort of Princess seminar to become..err...more dignified than they are already. Its already obvious who is going to be the next youma.
Usagi is sleeping in class again. Dreaming about being a princess. Ha. As if you could be a princess Usagi.
Luna
goes to the arcade machine communicator to discuss about Sailor Moon and receive new orders. the machine shorts out and Luna discovers it was Artemis giving the orders all along!
This is why Artemis > Luna.
Usagi spies on the girls in the princess seminar from a tree. She sees cake and screams, alerting a butler nearby. Usagi is a true idiot. She falls out of the tree and tells the butler she wants to join the seminar.
The Lady Rose in charge seems all too eager to let a ruffian like Usagi join the seminar. Something's up. The butler says she has to be good with a frisbee in order to join. Well, THATS suspicious on account of how well Sailor Moon can throw her tiara. Yes, very suspicious indeed! The other girls discuss Usagi joining the seminar, thinking she cant handle it but that it would be good for her. Minako looks fucking amazing in that red jacket by the way.
Unfortunately, Usagi
has to learn to behave like a real princess to fully activate the crystal and become Princess Serenity.
Good luck with that I guess.
Meanwhile, Usagi is happily throwing frisbees with the other prim girls,
oblivious to Kunzite's plan to identify her exactly this way.
Pretty clever.
Usagi is REALLY not good at this proper stuff. To be fair, I wouldnt be a dignified gentleman either.
Kunzite talks about
Sailor moon's Moon tiara attack and how to identify the girl in the group
. He is certain she will be stupid enough to fall for the trap. He's totally correct.
Then it comes time to eat. Usagi slurps her soup like an idiot. She cannot speak formally or dance.
The other senshi seem to have snuck into the ballroom and begin to dance. Makoto and Ami apparently know how and Minako and Rei cant dance for shit. Lady graduates most of the girls, excluding Usagi, Rei, and Minako.
Once separated, the other senshi notice wax figures. Lady Rose turns into a youma and says the figures are actually other girls. The youma attacks without warning, turning Makoto and Ami into statues as well.
The Youma turns toward the other three girls, saying
that they are clumsy enough to be the real Sailor moon.
Arti and Luna distract the youma so the senshi can transform. Their attacks do not work on this youma however.
Tuxedo Kamen intervenes, but Kunzite also appears and the two argue,
while the youma sits there confused. Sailor moon takes this opportunity to use Moon Healing escalation on the youma and returning everyone to normal.
Tuxedo Kamen disappears before Sailor moon can heal him too.
The day is saved!
