I love Remedy.

This looks neat! Max Payne 1+2 were blissful.

Alan Wake- I couldn't take too seriously, but I really enjoyed it. And the DLC (American Nightmare), if not for the repetition, gave me some wonderful summer vibes.

Everytime I see Sam Lake (lovelovelove), I'm feeling just like this:

. I doubt you go into killzone threads and post this crap. There are a lot of shooters these days. Did you not notice the time manipulation? Did you play Alan wake? As far as I am concerned this little clip was the most exciting thing we have seen so far this gen.

Say it more often, maybe it becomes more irrelevant.

My hatred of Remedy is relevant because I'm interested in this game in spite of that hatred. Whether I like games not developed by Remedy more than games they developed has no bearing on my feelings toward the developer. If I'm clarifying this — or saying it over and over — it's because people keep posting falsehoods or illustrating how they've misinterpreted my previous posts.

When people bring up subjects that have more to do with my tastes in non-Remedy games (or games, period) when it comes to my hatred of the developer, is suggests they have a personal/emotional stake in the matter, or in Remedy itself. Their posts don't have anything to do with Quantum Break.

No I don't, because KZ is another ISO9001 FPS and I couldn't care less about it, so I don't even go in KZ threads. QB looks a little more interesting and that's why I clicked on this thread; unfortunately there's nothing new here. And I'm about to complete AW. Satisfied?

This looks stunning.. It's the only Xbox One game I'm interested in. If these are realtime, it's a testament to console graphics being so much capable.

I was worried this would get the downgrade treatment, and whilst that was a tiny segment, it looks pretty damn good!

I just don't understand how me someone would act as if this was generic when it is clearly doing things most games don't.

Beacuse it is generic. The only (partially) new thing is time manipulation, but I already knew that it was in the game. Aside from that, there's nothing new or exciting in that GIF.

Max Payne 1 and 2 are still the best TPS I've ever played. This being a spiritual successor means we are in for one hell of a game.

What would constitute as "new" in such a short clip, and what information do we have to tell it is generic?

It MAY turn out generic in the end, but to say it IS generic is very wild extrapolation.

Where was this footage shown? Has VGX already happened?

Sizzle reel during the GameTrailers Xbone launch countdown stream, showing off games coming to the system.

Next gen Alan Wake engine looks like to me. Technically interesting (even exciting) but until I see a lot more not that enthused as AW was a solid 7/10 type game for me so I'm not sold on their recent gameplay designs.

MS is in serious trouble if this is true. Remedy ain't bad, but ND they aren't.

Remedy is still too independent from Microsoft to fall under that category. Microsoft did have a timed exclusive with Alan Wake, but Remedy owns the franchise and released it on PC independently from MS.

I'm not actually sure if Remedy owns Quantum Break though, Microsoft might own the rights to this one. The game looks amazing , definitely one of the best looking titles in the first wave of Xbox One software.

Alan Wake used the MaxFX 3.0 engine, the first two versions of this engine were used in Max Payne 1 and 2. The gun play and camera system in Alan Wake were very identical to the Max Payne series. This is using an engine called Northlight, which I think was built from the ground up as their next generation engine.

That gif looks gorgeous...now imagine Alan Wake 2 with this engine. :O

Given the fact that Alan Wake was damn near Standard Definition on the 360, any bets on this being the first sub-720p One title?

Their latest game on the 360 (American Nightmare) was running at 1120*576 with 4xMSAA+FXAA so a 900p or a 720p framebuffer with an equally good AA solution is a possibility I guess, sub-HD though? I don't think so.

Really excited to see what 343i does with the XB1.

Second wave games should be interesting tech wise, I'm really curious too to see games like Halo, Sunset Overdrive and the rumored Forza Horizon 2.

I did not know this, good info.

First Uncharted on the ps4 event and now this... I mean here at least they show something but really 4 seconds?

Really dissapointed in these events.

Want to see more before i get hyped. Just hoping the time manipulation is not some generic slow motion effect you can activate once every 2 min like so many other games.
