Same if it's WW2. I want that 2143 they've been hinting at for ages. That or another modern shooter because, seriously, I'm sick of WW2. It's everywhere. Even if we haven't had a deluge of it in games, there's numerous documentaries and books and TV shows made about it. Go watch those for your WW2 fix. :/
You could play BF4, COD, Titanfall.

Lets wait and see what it's like, you never know, might be fun :)

No thanks. I have Wolf if I want WW2.

The bigger question I have is: Will they fuck up Rush mode even more. I'm not hyped until I can play/see how badly they fucked that mode up a third time. That and/or they drop it and make Sabotage (er-"Obliteration") a main-mode this outing since those two were the only modes I played in BF4.

Where are these WW2 games? Ever since CoD 4 those games have been nowhere to be found. You want another modern shooter? There are PLENTY of those.

World War 1 would be horrible and an instant turn off for me.
That's too bad. I think its pretty obvious by this thread that most of us are dying for something else. Another future or even modern setting would be an instant turn off for me.

There hasn't been a AAA WW2 game in 8 years...

WW1 or WW2, I do not give a shit and will be buying this day one. I am just fed up off the yearly futuristic FPS games that have become regular now.

I'm guessing it's going to be a WW1/sci fi mashup. Think Harry Turtledove.

The gif is the soldier looking up at the alien mothership.

Actually that would suck.

Problem I have with WW1 is the lack of any interesting weapons or vehicles. I might be wrong but I'd rather see WW2 instead. I know I'll enjoy it regardless though :)

My point is, there's various media out there about WW2. Some of which are still being made. I'm sick of remembering a 80+ year old war. I'd rather focus on modern and/or future.

If they make it alternate history, great. But it's WW1/2 again, no thanks. I have no interest when there's 100+ other movies/TV shows/books about the war. Plus I could go play 1942 right now if I wanted a WW2 Battlefield.

I kind of want it to be based on WW1 purely out of curiosity. How would DICE apply World War I and it's combat tactics to their most popular mainstream first-person shooter? Right now that era is limited almost (entirely?) exclusively to less know, indie developed titles.

Alternate history, I suppose?

We all want back to the roots was games not that super sci to futuristic games halo Destiny new COD thats a turn off right there
Are you trying to tell me what I should want?

I don't feel the need for a game with the same mechanics but with skins of old weapons. Oh it's a biplane instead of a F22. A Zeppelin instead of helicopter.
If you're not on a horse with a swird, which would be huge departure of what we are used to but a nightmare to Balance, i honestly don't care.
