Yea, it'll be his last directorial work, he has a rookie director in training in Tango, so she will probably be directing their next game.
There are lots of different types of horror though. RE4 and Eternal Darkness are okay for me. I wouldn't really want to play something which is like REmake or Amnesia. Too scary, not fun.

I read it too.
Hopefully he either goes out with a bang. Or maybe he uses the word last like Kojima does.

i see.. Then he gonna retire after that :/
thks for info
She's already director on this game. He's like executive producer and/or executive director.
Survival horror and co-op don't have a great history

2 out of 3 good games isn't bad. (Haven't played Dead Space 3 yet.)

It's hard to say without actually seeing how the studio functions.ahh I see, not sure the difference between executive director and a director
I guess it's kind of like RE2 with Kamiya?

Mikami: Wow, you've done your research! Well, I want to keep the company down to no more than 100 staff, and that means I've had to take on some of the management duties. It's very hard to focus on directing a game when you're also doing that stuff. I decided that if I was going to start a company I should direct at least one game. But it's bloody hard work to wear both hats, and I'm not getting any younger. I started Tango to make great games and I'm committed to that goal. But my role might change over time - my role might be that of a director, nurturing young, talented creators.
...
CVG: You also have this apprentice director, Ikumi Nakamura, who you are grooming for future success.
Mikami: Oh yes, our future director. My game style and hers are completely different, but she's extremely talented, so I want her to make her own original games. She understands the modern era of games and she can see what's coming next, so I think she can create something for the future. She's also crazier than I am.
CVG: I can tell that from the manga strips she draws on Tango's website...
Mikami: Ha ha, yes, she writes those in secret - I don't check what she's writing about beforehand. But she always complains about me in those manga. What's that about?! And over such trivial things, like when we didn't invite her for dinner! But when she has something major to complain about, she says it to my face.
CVG: Tango's swanky office has spaces for staff to play games and sports. How important is fun in the workplace?
Mikami: That was deliberate. If you're always being serious it's hard to create something fun. In a quiet office where all you can hear is the clacking of keyboards, no one wants to raise their voice. When you're relaxed you're more likely to come up with good ideas and to be able to discuss them. Communication is so important. Tomake a great game, you need people to express themselves without worrying that they might get in trouble.
CVG: Was there not such a playful atmosphere at Capcom?
Mikami: The Capcom of old was great fun, but as it grew the management became stricter and my responsibilities also grew, so it was hard to feel free. In a smaller company you don't need such a rigid structure, which I think is great.
CVG: You said in a Q&A on Tango's website, "If you mess up, you can sleep it off and come back the next day."
Mikami: When you have an idea or you create something, you're definitely going to make mistakes. If you're worried about messing up, you won't come out with any good ideas; it's not a creative way to work. People who succeed without making mistakes are simply lucky - and luck doesn't last forever. You're heading for a fall, so it's best to make lots of mistakes while you're young to help you grow.
What's the director's name? Has she worked on Mikami's past games?
Bethesda so no chance of it being WiiU right?
There are plenty of horror games that cater to gamers such as you. There are very few that cater to my type of gamer.
Just for once I'd like an horror game where the devs aren't afraid to scare people too much.
Ikumi Nakamura, she does the concept design for Bayonetta I think:

Sure, I agree with that. If it does turn out that way, I think it'll be good for classic horror fans. But I'm a wuss, and I just hope that I'll be able to play Mikami's new game!

Realistically the game will be most likely Resi 4 in terms of pacing, although I hope it's a mix of the REmake and Resi 4.
Edit. The game having co op would ruin any horror aspects IMO.
It's not like it's gonna be scary. Just another cheap sound scare tactics like the usual.
Someone please change duckroll's tag to "Prefers PG-13 Horror"
How do you know?
It's not overwhelmingly likely, but UE3 does run on the platform.
From the past RE games?
But duckroll is only a 5 year old girl.Someone please change duckroll's tag to "Prefers PG-13 Horror"
Yea and I know Mikami doesnt mind working with Nintendo hardware, its just Bethesda I dont think ever had a game on a Nintendo platform
Hey, the rating has nothing to do with it! Nothing wrong with tits and gore, just as long as there isn't a long slow tracking shot along some empty corridor with doors and/or windows on the sides which could have shit coming out of it at any moment, while the music builds up tension more and more as the camera moves. That's the sort of shit I can't stand!

Can you imagine if that's what this was... Fuck.OK Mikami, time for the RE4 successor we all deserve.
Finally,
Modeler @tango retweeted bethesda's tweet (he never tweets any gaming news)
VFX artist @tango retweeted too
IGN confirmed it's ZWEI.

I can already tell I won't like the main character XD

I hope the game doesn't look scary to trick duckroll into buying it.
but the actual game will be full of this:
