This is 1.5hr of download time for me, good enough.
They said the day one patch would deal with camera issues.
I know, but from what we've seen, the camera is really really bad in small spaces. It's hard to imagine it doing a 180.

Camera still looks terrible from what I can see of the stream. But he hasn't installed the patch so...
Frame pacing is also still there in the stream, or maybe it was the choppiness. Who knows.

if you actually go back and rewatch Tabata's video, he never said it was to avoid patches. Master version they were ready to ship wasn't good enough according to his words, so he delayed it so game on the disc is what he considers finished... basically, what you are downloading right now would've been 1.02 if game released in september. instead original 1.01 was included in the game from the get go and 1.02 turned 1.01

If it were me, I would also ban any kind of hinting about anything good/bad happening in chapter X/the end.

As in enemies appearing while exploring? If so, then that's good. Felt like they spawn nearly enough during the demo but I was thinking that might have had something to do with the game being locked to easy mode.

They get paid to work on the game, it gets post launch support. Ofc they'd work on fixes.

If you only want one patch, just wait until they're done patching. Game will be cheaper then and you'll get the best performance.
Guy on Ebay is selling it online, says delivers by the 23rd to the 7th. Is it worth buying? I don't know how to tell if it is real or fake. If I could get the game by that date that would be awesome.

I guess the days when I just insert the disc and play right away are truly over. The game will never be complete again. Always a stupid patch to download.

There will be always some kind of day 1 patch because the nature of how games are developed. Day 1 patches are made between the time game goes gold and it releases. You want them to do nothing during this time? There is always something to fix.
Some people don't have good Internet connection and 7.2G is not a small patch.
This game is going to get a lot of patches, for optimisations, bug fixes and DLC/Season Pass additions.
You just have to deal with it at this point.
