Can't say that this is for me.

Had to turn it off a few songs in.

Some of my favorite albums took more than a few listens to appreciate. Same goes for this release. Give it some time, bruh.

For those that are loving the shit out of this...what albums do you have in front of it for AOTY? Don't think anything really comes close. Maybe Killer Mike's latest?

I'd say other ones in the running so far would be Killer Mike's RAP Music, Schoolboy Q's habits and contradictions, Shins' port of morrow, japandroids celebration rock, grimes' visions, ghibli rare pleasures, cloud nothings attack on memory, clams casino tape 2, beach house bloom, big baby ghandi no1 2 look up 2.
good place to keep this up might be this month's "what are you listening, too?" thread.

Had been looking forward to this album since last year constantly reading up updates about how/when it is finally released. Glad it's finally here. Had it on repeat the whole day yesterday.

It's definitely an album that works better if you listen to it as a whole and I really enjoy how unique it sounds. Lost has been getting the most playtime this far, should def be a single.

My sentiments exactly.
I initially thought Pyramids was pretty okay and I didn't really like Forrest Gump. And as for Bad Religion, watched the Fallon performance in the morning before work, was somewhat let down. Nothing was what I fully expected. Then went through the album and now really liking all three and many others. I don't know how to describe it but it's just different from his last album, but still feels very much like himself. Can't wait to get the CD and see him live.

dude better not play Guitar Hero, though.

Really liking this album and I'm not usually into sing songy baby powder stuff.

Forrest Gump is a great fucking song.

Kill For Love by Chromatics is still my favourite album this year, but this will probably be on my list.

Great fucking album.

One of my favorite albums of all time is NERD In Search Of... I get the same feeling when listening to this. Its like an R&B twist on that formula. Great stuff.

The 24-year-old has quickly proven himself to be among the most gifted singer-songwriters of his generation; he's got the type of voice, wit, charm, smarts, and ineffable humanity that's always hoped for, but never promised. And he's got every reason to think he's above the vividly realized lost souls that slouch, preen, and weep throughout his album. But that's not how Frank Ocean works. His lofty gaze is powerful, but not all-powerful. "What's a god to a non-believer who don't believe in anything?" he sang on Watch the Throne's "No Church in the Wild". He's so good at questioning that answers can't help but bubble up in the wake of his words.

Frank Ocean song writing skills is amazing.

Meh, it was smart to release it when they did. They capitalized on the publicity and with sales of over 100k estimated, more than B.oB. lol, it's proven to be the right move.

Target's loss.

because he essentially broke street date and released it digitally ahead of time. it was a good move to preempt leaks, though... who cares if one retailer doesn't carry it.

Yup. Now if all retailers did that...that would be devastating. But as it stands for sales iTunes>Target.
