Well, sounds like Microsoft's Uncharted. If Uncharted is basically an Indiana Jones ripoff, why not to use the Indiana Jones IP to make their Uncharted-like game? Sounds like a great idea.
MachineGames has talent, their games had good reviews. I think now they can do a better job with Todd Howard's help and very likely with a bigger budget and more resources than before thanks to MS money. Sounds great.
The thing is, MachineGames is too focused on FPS so we have to see how they would perform with a 3rd person game. And we know they are good, but will need to improve a lot if they want to face directly Naughty Dog. I think it would be a better option to try to differientiate it, instead of making it too similar to Uncharted.
They already have Perfect Dark for a female main character. In that other case it's a great fit, but not in the case of Indiana Jones. And well, no need to fill any diversity quota here including a trans black lesbian as main character to be politically correct with the woke crowd. Like in the previous MachineGames, in Indiana Jones the main character punches and shoots nazis, so I think no diversity quotas would be needed here, I think it already is enough politically correct.

The biggest appeal of the brand is the Indiana Jones character and Harrison Ford as main character. So the main character has to be Indy, to look like Harrison Ford during the original trilogy and if possible voiced by Harrison Ford himself.I wonder if Indiana Jones' daughter is the protagonist. I really have a hard time believing current year LucasFilm would make an Indiana Jones game.
