Hey guys, I got a PM from ARC Euro a little while ago and I thought I'd pass the message on to give you guys a bit of a hand with this.

We have started this thread inspired by your creations and wondering if it ok to ask your thread readers to consider submitting their works.
We are prepared to select very different one, nothing like we had in Japan and US.

I believe he's talking about an earlier thread I made: The GAF Collection. You may want to check it out to see what kind of look they're going for. If I'm reading this right they don't appear to want the standard video game box art for this game.

Anyways, good luck to everyone who contributes.

here's a quick submission-- going for something a little unexpected? for a fighting game cover i guess.

I must say, both of these are fantastic. The second one works better for a "GAF Collection" style piece, whereas the first is a great looking standard box art.

The one thing i feel is that a lot of people haven't seen the part mentioned about having a different GAF Collection feel. Lots of props to ARC for doing this. I really would suggest making a non-sticky thread. I feel like a lot more people would see the thread and, even if they don't think they're good, can contribute. There are a lot of great submissions in the GAF Collection thread made by people who are shy/think they are bad, but have great ideas.

Just my two cents. Best of luck to ARC on finding the perfect box art, and best wishes to those submitting. I might even work up my own submission if i have time.

Yep, people don't need to focus on safe & typical designs, although those are fine too. The GAF Collection thread was the inspiration for this contest, so keep that in mind.

How would sending the thread to the wastelands of the gasp... 2nd and gah... 3rd page (and beyond) of the forums get it more attention?

It being always at the top of the 1st page no matter if anyone replies/views is for the best.

edit: Just checked, right now it would have been on the 5th page before I replied.

One thing I'd like to point out just in case people haven't realized is that the PS3 box dimensions have changed and are more square. This matters because if you designed your box to solely fit in the previous dimensions, it will have to be cropped/redone. New width-length ratio is 0.95 instead of 0.79 (Xbox 360 is 0.80).

Winnar is you. Excellent. I've been looking through these and find that yours is the best. The least cluttered, very sleak looking, and showcases the characters. As much as I like other peoples styles they've chosen (I'm a big fan of avant-garde and "less is more") I think yours is the best choice.
