Custom doesn’t mean build from scratch though. They’d still need the base RT implemented first and then apply changes on top.

I swear I saw a slide at the AMD presentation which showed “Next Gen Consoles” and showed RDNA2 listed under a way suggesting both are using it. I cannot, for the life of me, find this slide from their conference. Even scrubbing through the video, but I’m so sure I saw that. I really hope I’m not misremembering.

I think showing all your cards before MS may make more sense for Sony if they’re confident that their software lineup will be way more impressive than MS

It shows that Sony has content leadership, and whatever Microsoft shows in May could be lackluster in comparison

Jim Ryan comes in and gives Cerny two orders. increase the clocks to get to 9 tflops, and send out devkits with a radeon 7 to fool devs.

Klee got his source drunk enough to get some insider info. Klee's source told him about the monstrous lie. Jim had been playing us all along. there is no double digit rdna tflops, there is no hardware rt, no vrs, and then he cried for betraying him. "I am forced to code on a 9 tflops console that doesnt have hardware ray tracing.", he cried in anguish.

Klee was devastated. His trust now broken. He went back in time to create an era account to mislead Sony fans for months. "I want them to feel what i felt." he said to himself as he methodically leaked false info to era members thirsty for any news from Sony.

E3 is absolutely not happening this year. It's going to be cancelled and i've got a strong gut feeling looking at the latest updates on this situation and how its spinning faster out of control in countries outside of China.

This virus will continue to spread and the fight to contain and eventually come up with a cure it will take months if not a year. This is not an overnight fix and i'm cool with whatever gets delayed or cancelled.

Like i said previously, the lives of fellow human beings are more important right now than a plastic box or any other material things.

I think I saw a similar slide and it referenced "Next generation RDNA architecture" or something like that. That could be inferred to be RDNA 2.0 as it hadn't been 'released' yet, or it could be a custom 'RDNA 1.5' type of thing. That MS is going RDNA 2.0, makes me think it's likely Sony's done the same, but we'll see.

I honestly believe they could delay the new consoles due to this. Which in reality wouldn't really hurt as there will still be new games coming out for the old consoles and it gives devs time to polish up new games and such for the launch of the new consoles.
