Edit: Beaten!
maybe it's regarding the PS3. Sony was also listed after all.
Seriously?
SOE was listed...
Star Citizen in NVIDIA presentation?
THAT IS A MEGATON.
Why are they pushing 4K sooo much? I mean they may as well put out a Monitor/TV also.
More pixels = better IQ.Why are they pushing 4K sooo much? I mean they may as well put out a Monitor/TV also.

PROJECT CARS MEGATONE.
Yeesh, what is that dude wearing? Does he realize he's doing a major presentation? It looks like someone found that jersey backstage and thought "Hey, he should wear this!"

4K isn't worth anything without the right monitor right? Any one have any recommendations? Or is downsampling the best way to get 4k on 1080p?

Ok, Depth of Field in Star Citizen is not Nvidia technology
They are getting serious with 4K ...
fake-edit: Depth Of Field is an Nvidia tech?
Depth of Field is CryEngine technology.
And HBAO+? Why? SSDO is much better and cheaper.
TXAA, Tessellation and Cloth physics are CryEngine standard features and only TXAA was made by Nvidia.
Very interested in turbulence and physx particles though.
Someone explain me why DOF is an Nvidia technology...
The slide says "Tessallation"
We have NVIDIA DoF, which is a custom solution that can also do Bokeh. You'll see it in a week or so in Batman Arkham Origins.
If You are interested in particles and turbulence in CryEngine, here is a demo:

Well the only real gaming 4K monitor atm is the Asus one that's around £2500 IIRC.
As for 4K on 1080p downsampling either in-engine or via driver is the only way.
Does it look better than the base Cryengine Bokeh?
Does 4k downsampling actually add to the IQ on a 1080p monitor?

Unsure, have never seen a comparison. Looks a ton better than the game's default DoF option (you can toggle between the two in-game).
