Am I the only one getting annoyed with all the plugs?

"Spider-Man 2, available on Blu-ray, DVD, and UMD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment."
it's not out on Blu-ray
"Connect your PSP to your Bravia flatscreen TV."
"Home on my Sony-Ericsson mobile phone."
etc etc etc, not to mention every time they mention a game coming out on physical disc it's "Blu-ray Disc™".

It's like watching Casino Royale again.

if you're astonished you haven't been paying attention. adding either feature would break compatability with existing PSP's.

who's going to actually implement a touch sensitive feature that the existing 25 million+ PSP's out there have no way to actually use?

same thing with the extra nub. was never going to happen.

How would ADDING a touch screen or second stick break compatibility? The old games simply wouldn't use them. Maybe sony should talk to Nintendo who managed to build a brand-new machine that was entirely capable of running all the past software and is miraculously making the kind of money Sony only wishes they could make.

Pull the other one.

Sony won E3 30 mins ago at least, but they keep on pumpin it out.

Very impressive comeback.
Seeing the cluster**** the MS and Nintendo conferences were, that wasn't too hard.

They did very well though (Echo Chrome!). But the Home pimpin' is becoming annoying.

I know. Why was the Nintendo and Microsoft videos so crappy, and sony's so nice? I wonder if Gamespot had a technical problem.

I think it's because Sony is officially sponsoring this conference.

The conference is already a ton better than either of the others, as expected.

Echo Chrome looks amazing.

Castlevania X PSP also looks amazing, typical for Konami to go all out for Sony while Nintendo gets shunned with shitty art and mediocre games.

GO GO SONY!!! :) :) :)

The whole social networking web 2.0 aspect of Home is very intriguing. Too bad I don't have a SONIC ERICSSON PHONE. I swear he said Sony Ericsson phone 6 times in a minute.

wow, the bar is really low.

They show a few games and people can't wait to crown them winnner!

Besides Echo they haven't shown much new...not sure yet

Wait a second ... is Echochrome for PSP or PS3? I thought it was a PSN game!?!?

ZOMG ... launching all games from HOME!!! OH SHITS!!!

Galactic Fork

A little fluff between the ears never did any harm...
I had been saying there wouldn't be a redesign because all they could really do was make it thinner and make the battery better, I really didn't think they'd do it. But they did. The video out is kinda interesting, but I don't want to play psp games on my tv. I'll stick with my old PSP.

The question is: Does this make it more attractive to people who don't have it? Maybe. The 200 dollar entertainment pack is a great price. But the silver is repulsively ugly to me. I am curious how impervious to hacking the new one will be and maybe we'll see an increase to software sales as well.

We'll just wait and see!

So far, I think Sony wins for best conference, even with all the lame home stuff.

Meh, nothing is drawing me to buying a PS3 yet. All this Home crap is boring. I'm definitely gonna grab one of those new PSP's, though.

because, genius, no company is going to bother making any games that USE a touchscreen or a second analog stick, if the majority of PSP owners couldn't use the damn features. 25 million PSPs is a LOT of PSPs. Even if the PSP sells 50 Million over it's lifetime (unlikely) that's still a full HALF the userbase.

and WTF at "building a brand new machine that runs all the past software..." are you trolling? the PS2 and PS3 both do this. They're not microsoft. And nintendo didn't add any features to the DS lite that the DS didn't have, which is what you're suggesting Sony do with the PSP.

grow up and stop trolling.

Existing PSP owners would not be able to play newer games that included support for a touch screen or a second nub.

This is boring as hell so far.... get Tretton off the stage ASAP.

Hopefully they are saving all the heavy hitters for last.
