Got through 5 episodes today.

First episode was clunky as all hell and I was not a fan of the fifth's main story but overall I like the season so far. More so than the last - that's for sure.

Episode 4 down!
That Nicky glimpse better lead to her actually returning to the prison ward somehow.
I don't remember why she's in the sag! And did Sophia end up there because of that war between ger and those homophobic people? My memory escapes me.

I'm going to binge the hell out of this soon.

I think it was because
she was found out to be dealing heroin. She had Luschek helping her out with it as he smuggled it out to deal but then she got caught. As for Sophia, she got sent to SHU because she complained over the lack of security with her being attacked which they claimed was their way of protecting her or something, which is an obvious lie.

Are there still flashbacks this season? Wasn't a fan of those last year IIRC.
I'm only on episode five but (no actual present-day spoilers)
near every episode so far has included them.

I'm just starting EP 7 and yes, this is better than last season (even though I still liked that).

I like the stories this time around and it seems they know where they're going with this. I usually don't hate Piper but I can't believe the way she's behaving. That being said I like her plot.

I'm glad Nicky is going back to Litchfield too, I wonder how she's going to interact with Luschek now... I gasped when she arrived to clean Sophia's cell... what the hell did she do to herself?! :(

I'm susprised how Pensatucky's dealing with what happened last season and
I wonder if anything is going to happen to that guard. At least Maritza is safe.

Episode 5 talking spoiler kinda
"I know exactly what they do in there, scratch each others balls and play Call of Duty Guantanamo"
I lol'ed

Macropad fell behind the desk. Keys were pressed and this was posted early.

What I meant to say is.. What? That's a shame - they can be hit or miss but they are some of the best parts!

It's been a while since I've seen OiTNB, but isn't that literally almost every episode since the beginning? I can't think of an episode without a flashback...

Episode 6 was decent up until the last ten minutes.
Got intense then. Man, Piper really is off the fucking deep end. I was happy to see Nicky, and then it shot down like hell when Stella appeared. But then I'm happy if Nicky actually returns to regular appearances now, although I wonder if her being moved back to the normal ward means if she can get access to the drugs.

I'm gonna take a guess that Sophia will probably turn up alive too.

I literally just saw that. As in I'm 3 minutes into the next episode.
I don't know where it's going but it got really intense really fast.

I've been holding out for the whole Piper clumsily redeeming herself bit when she realizes this is much more than what she wanted but so far she's doubling down and now I'm interested in her... which isn't something I haven't been in a long time. I wonder how far it will go. It would suck if they use the white power people as the scapegoat to the shit she started - I want to see if they can actually have her suffer long term consequences to her actions

Last season must have really hurt the series. I'm shocked to see so little talk about this season today. =\

3 wasn't bad. It's not something I feel like I should watch again and parts of it were a big bummer. I think the overall consensus among people I know is that it was kind of aimless and people lost interest. I say give it a week though. Not everyone is going to binge watch it day 1.

Holy shit Episode 8.

Ugh, I know that Piper is an awful human being but Taylor Schilling's performance made me feel for her. Also, the end was really painful to watch.

I'm so glad Nicky is back, I know she's fucked up but she's a real friend. I enjoyed the scene with Alex and Piper smoking crack.

I'm praying Aleida can leave Litchfield behind unscathed but they have been building this momentum about her release that I'm expecting the worst.

The way I screamed when Linda showed up with the gun. That scalated real quick. I hope Sophia is fine, I feel like it's been forever since last we saw an update from her. I'm glad her wife is fighting to know what's up.

This season is great. I feel they have managed the cast a lot better this year, it has been feeling more like an ensemble and also, there isn't any dumb (like Norma's last year) or aimless (Piper's business) plots.

The only thing that I haven't liked so far is Lolly... she's really annoying.

One little thing annoyed me about episode 5

When Taystee was on Caputo's laptop and pulled up the "YouTube" video of his band, it had 17 views but over 200 likes. What.

Overall so far, much better than season 3.

The only thing that I haven't liked so far is Lolly... she's really annoying.

Only up to episode 5 obviously but
I feel like the writers had to go overboard with the conspiracy theory nut to be able to explain why the guards wouldn't find the body parts. Unfortunately the side effect is that now they're stuck with the crazed conspiracy theorist aspect unless she gets sent to psych and comes back "reformed" as her prior season self.

Yeah, there are some good ones. Just as the seasons go on they feel more and more formulaic if that makes any sense. They are still well done, and one specific one was probably the best part of the show last year if I remember right.

Was wondering since they had to go to more and more out there characters last year if they would continue this year.

Episode 9
Pensatucky forgiving her rapist... girl just no.

Maritza nooooo. What the hell, that is fucked up.

Blanca's backstory was just weird.

Metroidvania

People called Romanes they go the house?
Damn.

A bit muddled at points through some of the episodes, but what a goddamn strong finish to the season. Holy shit.

Rewatched the last episode of season 3 as a refresher. Now through the first three episodes of season 4. I don't know, I'm getting sort of bored. I'll probably finish the season, but I think the magic just isn't there anymore. Maybe it's the same scenery for four seasons straight, I'm not sure. I want to love this show like I did for seasons 1 & 2 but maybe the rough season 3 killed it for me.

Sorry, not trying to be a downer. It certainly isn't a bad show, just not as fun as I remember it.

Okay that Ep 11 joke
where the guy buys an AR15 from walmart has to be a pickup shot. It's too on the nose to be an accident.

The show more or less lost me (and my SO) after the third season. Does this season do good things with Poussey and Sophia? I want them to be happy. ;_;

It's so good. Were the previous seasons this hilarious?
2 episodes in:
I love how Capudog is still the same porn addict but also has to deal with everyone's shit while reporting to a bunch of morons. It's a really good character. Piper playing boss and being shot down by everyone is gold. Crazy Eyes being out-crazied was also a great moment.
Can't wait to see the rest.

My god just finished episode 12. This is some messed up stuff. And I thought that was the finale. One more episode left.

I'm on episode 7, these episodes seem to have a bit more weight to them than the past two seasons did. I'm also digging the focus on different characters as well. I'm starting to feel more optimistic about the longevity of the show because of it.

Can you kindly do full spoilers? Your post is hinting too much. I don't want to come off as picky, I just think it's too spoilery. :x

I don't mean that I personally think people should spoiler tag stuff like vague/general opinions like "I still hate Piper", or "This season is crazy!", but maybe stuff directed at specific events and stuff?

Episode 11 down. Two to go. That moment with
the flashback with Suzanne and the kid made me feel on edge because I knew something would have to happen and man, I felt uneasy when the kid fell over the railing.

Oh wow, I thought there was only one episode up lol. I've never watched a season this close to it going live on Netflix before. Is this how it usually works?

Episode 1
Not liking Piper trying to be a badass, it seems cringy as fuck and oh my god, they chopped the dude's body up!!
