#4?! I went to Eleven Madison, had a wonderfully served and entirely underwhelming three hour dinner, left and promptly bought Shake Shack across the street.

While most of the list stays the same the placement varies wildly from year to year it seems. Always wondered what made you say a 10th place last year, but now you are 5th. Gotta be splitting hairs a ton for a list like this.

you know, now that i think about it, the best food i've eaten out tend to be restaurants that been shut down at least once for failing inspection lol.

It's all the same contenders!

Holy cow. I didn't realise how much of a sausage fest the restaurant industry is...

Top 50 is literally all dudes. Number 8 has a woman in it. That's it.

Been to 8. Not too shabby!

I don't understand how one can walk out of these elaborate tasting menus still hungry. I'm usually on the verge of nausea.

It's all the same contenders!

The last few years have been pretty stable in the high end dining seen. You have the rise of the Scandinavian food scene and a few restaurants in far flung places, but you don't have a major shake up like when Spanish chefs suddenly brought a level of creativity to cooking that knocked the French onto their bums.
