Xenoblade 2 confirmed for Holiday 2017

What's the difference. Is a artist any less credible or immoral for having drawn 18+ works? Where is the Luls coming from?

Because I laughed so hard and still laughing about Takahashi using Saitom since January.

And please understand that I'm on sarcasm mode. I don't care about boob or thong ot whatever, Xenoblade 2 seem ok enough for me that it's not look like a shitty game.

Oh hey. Cool that he went legit.

It's not about legit or not, you can switch, it's just a job.

:) I know some porn artists who often do children/education book series.

It's probably a little too soon for this to have come up but is there an estimate on how long you can get out of the battery playing undocked?

Skimpy (animu, weeb shit, whatever) designs are a little bit different from straight up using 18+ artist in Xenoblade 2.

google Saitom

Unless you're going to get all moralistic about that they shouldn't have been making 18+ content in the first place, previous employment is only relevant so far as a show
case of artistic ability. Rather what they put in the game they currently work on is what matters far more.

Character designs are unfortunate but are easily overlooked. I don't think they're worse to the characters in Xenoblade Chronicles X and those didn't keep me from playing +150h of that game.

A bit too soon yeah lol. It seems like a big, complex game though, so I doubt you'll get much longer than you get with BOTW.

Lol, well it's not like I expected someone to have actually played it but they did give us an estimate for BotW during the Switch reveal event, was hoping they'd do the same ahead of time for this game too.

Same quotes for EVERY Xenoblade game. Are people not already tired to complain about character designs after every new Xenoblade trailer?

And eventually Xenoblade and Xenoblade X turned out to be milestones no one should miss who likes RPGs.

My point is many people will not even bother with the game with character design like this. Even if the game itself is amazing.

After i saw the 40 min video of gameplay, i really really don't feel it at all. What fear me the most :

- Combat look slow, sluggish and really boring. It also feel really unchallenging from what we saw. He can destroy enemies that are like 3-4 level higher then him without a scratch. i know its a demo, but still if the game came out in 4-5 month, i'm having a hard time they will correct that aspect.

- Random weapon drop from stone, feel like a mobile game mechanic, i like the idea with different weapon have different art and stat. But random weapon from a pool of stone ? really ? pokemon-ish too "collect them all".

- The visual style don't fit, it's really way to anime, i'll have a hard time to take anything seriously (this is a opinion). Also enemies design look boring and there a lot of copy paste from Xenoblade Chronicle, it can explain they try to reuse thing to be able to release the game faster.

- I know,I know they still polish the game (remember 2017 release windows), but have you see the number of slowdown the game had ? During exploration it's wasn't that bad, but in combat it thought was atrocious.

I'm having a hard time to hype me for this game, it really feel like a rush job overall and think i'm ready to be disappointed.

After the gameplay demo, i'm more positive about the game.
The new Blades mechanic is cool, although randomized, gacha-like collectibles are a pain in the ass, hope we can find a way around it.
The city and the area looks cool, strong XBC vibes.
Character designs are a big no-no, but i'm sure visible equip is in, so i'll change that asap. Sadly i guess non-fighting party members (Pyra) will have to keep those outfits on, oh well i'll survive.
Tech performance is so-so, hope we get some more polish.

Pretty excited, still will wait for full game impressions.

Is it playable on the showfloor (or to the press) by the way?

I finally got around to watching the Treehouse demo of this and I really fell in love with this game all over again. It's so gorgeous and it looks so much fun!
Absolutely can't wait to play it

But I have to agree that the VA for Rex and Pyra doesn't match the characters at all. It's weird. Loving everything else though!

So same logic as the two past games in the series?

It's not like they were multi million seller, Xenoblade usually sells over a million and that's it.

Yeah just like they didn't bother with Fire Emblem Awakening with the 2000 year old dragon in it.

It's a separate issue - unappealing central character designs is different from merely having a lot of fanservice or loli elements. Awakening and Fates led with designs like Corrin, Robin, Lucina and the Fates royals, which were infinitely more stylish and appealing.

True. I don't have a huge problem with the MCs clothes since he will most likely get new armor anyway. The only offensive one so far is the red blade lady. I'm ok with the girl with the tiger as a weapon.

What will be way more concering to me is the voice acting and if we can activate the Japanese one with subtitles... Come on Monolith Soft, if Atlus can do it so can you.

The voice acting is a bit of a turn-off for me. I can live with the character models (though I wish they were closer to Xenoblade 1 than what they are now).

The rest of it looks great aesthetically, though I haven't gotten through the gameplay vid yet to comment on the systems.

I'm watching the treehouse footage again.

Hearing how they streamlined the arts palette in this game, it's less like an MMO now and it now reminds me of Phantasy Star Online from Dreamcast because instead of scrolling through different arts, the arts are now mapped to the right face buttons to use four arts which is what is reminding me of PSO.

My thoughts as well, I didn't realise this would be such a big deal to people.

The character designs mixed with that voice acting will have me treating the story as a parody when I play the game. At least the gameplay looks fun.

I'm really interested in the first two games but don't own a Wii, Wii U or 3DS so it sounds like my only hope is Switch VC. Looks like I'll be waiting a looooong time :(

Honestly game and manga artists starting out in hentai is super common in Japan

true, but the fact that the character art and world design is so different between xenoblade 1 and 2 makes me think they should not have called it Xenoblade 2, and maybe something else entirely, a new IP maybe

Plus, Nintendo having this kind of over the top anime in their games is very doubtful, not something i usually expect from Nintendo

A lot of people typically get desensitized to this kind of thing over time or just have a different tolerance for it.

The designs I've seen so far may have crossed from "annoying flaw" to "huge detriment" to my potential enjoyment of the game.

this is becoming a tradition.
I've always read this comment about Xeno games.
"wow omg great. but maaan that chara design!"
So...everything is good :D

Not for me. I really liked the character designs of the first one and X. First game suffered from low resolution but the the designs were great. For X: some characters more than others suffered from the more realistic lighting not being kind to their more anime-esque faces and overly reflective eyes, I really love the concept art for the characters.

I can't say there's any way to fix the designs this time around.

Who's to say some people didn't skip out of Awakening for this reason?

I have to admit, I'm a bit leery of Fire Emblem these days in part due to the gross otaku pandering.

wasn't talking about you, sorry if I wasn't clear
but as a general reaction to Xeno reveals (Wii and Wii U, now Switch) that very often/always have had this "OMG the world is amazing/OMG the characters are awful" reactions
