Me too. He seemed like a failry upstanding young man. Then I learned he owns a fur suit.Bit-Bit said:I think you guys underestimate how many furries are out there. I met one not to long ago. Trust me, furries only every talk about furries.

Busty said:One famous case was Ed Norton who signed a multi picture deal with Paramount when he was a young unknown actor for Primal Fear. The deal lay dormant for years only for Norton to be horrifed when Paramount 'activated' the clause in his contract and made him play the bad guy in the remake of The Italian Job.
The more you know.....
Haha, it was exactly the same story with the furry I knew.Neverender said:I met a furry once. We all thought it was funny, and would always refer to him as Steve the Furry. We were all hanging out some time, and I heard him talking to one of my gay friends about how he was so sick of people always referring to him as Steve the Furry. He compared it to how ridiculous it would be to always introduce my gay friend as Michael the Gay. I didn't really agree with the comparison but I felt really bad anyway.
Moral of the story: Furries are people too. :lol

You guys didn't tell me the intro from Cameron was in 3D! Fuck I knew I should have gone! I could have been closer than ever! :lol
Krev said:I wonder what the cause of this divide is? I've seen some fairly skeptical types mindboggled by the 3D effect, and then there's people like jett who don't seem impressed at all.

Yeah...I actually heard the exact opposite from a few people.jett said:I was impressed by the footage in several ways, but the 3D in Avatar really wasn't anything new to me. Like I said before, for now I prefer the more subtle use in Ice Age 3. In IA3 3D was used to extened the depth of the image, in Avatar it's used to show a lot of crap in the foreground.

Guess I'll just have to see it for myself in December and make up my own mind! What a novel concept.
Cmagus said:my question is why are they not releasing this trailer in 3D? There are plenty of films coming out that feature 3D why not put this trailer before Final destination or any of the numerous films coming out in 3D
I mean personally I think the cg looks cartoony and doesn't fit with the enviroments at points. Now everyone says you need to see it in 3D to experience it.I wasn't able to see the imax stuff so I'd like to see a trailer in 3D cause if it looks much better in 3D theni wanna see that before i see this film.
I found his walking animation not realistic enough, but in the 2nd Pirates especially when you mostly see him sitting, playing organ etc, it looks perfectly real. There again, the only walking scene I remember, when he's in the rain, looked tiny bit jittery. But really, other than that, I think they nailed everything right.Jtwo said:Watching Pirates3 for the first time.
Jones looks fucking great, but it definitely 100% does not look "real."
he's not cg. That scenes vfx aren't finished yetKennyLinder said:The guy in the wheelchair (coming out of the aircraft) at the start of the trailer is CGI. The fuck!!??
Anything that's not human but has human characteristics it seems. Although yeah, they're far from furry. They're rubbery looking.Combine said:So wait, why are the Na'vi considered "furry" even though they have no fur? Is every non-human being now being considered a furry?

So, every bipedal non-human is now considered a "Furry". Does that include District 9's Prawns. Or maybe even the motherfucking Predator?stuburns said:Anything that's not human but has human characteristics it seems. Although yeah, they're far from furry. They're rubbery looking.
I think it's just a catch all term for sex perverts who's interest is non-human pretty much. Though the pics people post are all people dressed in furry suits.Combine said:So, every bipedal non-human is now considered a "Furry". Does that include District 9's Prawns. It's now getting beyond stupid.
Combine said:I won't begrudge someone who might find an attraction in something slightly inhuman, like the Na'vi. I think Cameron even admitted they needed to make the Na'vi with some physical appeal in order for Jake, a human, to become attracted to Netraya. I think he actually used the phrase "would you do her?" when having the artists come up with the design.
Although, the people who dress in those suits do seem kind of, unsettling.
You haven't seen the 3D nipple have you? Come back when you have.NutJobJim said:Then why is she so ugly?
They could have easily made a hot looking alien chick.
I'm pretty sure that green chick that Kirk nailed in this summers Star Trek was hot :lol

It should be noted that the 4 million hit bitchslap that AVATAR dealt out on apple.com was in LotR's direction (1.7million).
