Zone of the Enders HD Collection (PS3/360) - Release date, details, screenshots, etc

Japanese game on the PS3 alright.
At least they didn't release super sampled shots.
Hopefully the full game releases with some AA, this is a big bother to me on some PS3 titles because I play close to my monitor.
Really looking forward to playing this.

Gust uses it quite a bit! Some of the smoothest looking games I've seen.

I think I can deal with no AA. As long as the framerate is locked.
royal treatment for this series when Silent Hill 2 and 3 deserved it so much more.
Being cheap on the SH collection wouldn't make Kojima angry, Konami knows when to pick their battles.
It'll look fine, I'm sure at a smooth 60 fps.
Shame they couldn't be bothered to add in some FXAA, though.
I'm thrilled that they decided to re-render the cutscenes, though.
I think it was just the opening. Mr. Kojima mentioned supervising the work handled by SUNRISE Inc., for that purpose of redoing an introduction movie:

- I was wrong about the platforms, it's only coming out on PS3 and 360 in October. I see no Vita announcement at all. Lol.
- The retail release will be 3,980yen for PS3 and 360 versions, and there will be a PSN digital version going for 3,480yen. They also plan on releasing it on XBLA, but the date and price is not confirmed at this time.
- 8,980yen will get you the Premuim Package.

That box is fantastic. Really awesome design.
One thing that is truly unique to (some) Japanese devs is not using texture filtering.
There are plenty of Japanese games on PS3 with AA. I'd say the ratio is about the same as for western games.

Gust is at the forefront, with every single one of their games featuring 4xMSAA. But there are also games released by Square-Enix, Capcom and Konami that use varying degrees of AA.
New artwork, great! Hope it comes out over here, unlike any previous Premium Edition of MGS or ZOE.

What? Where on earth did I say they weren't talented? You seem to have completely missed my point, which was that Kojima has a ton of influence within Konami, to the point where Kojima Productions has basically taken over a sizeable chunk of the old KCEJ. And no, Team Silent never would've been given the sort of control Kojima had over the MGS and ZOE Collections. Konami's current reaction to the crappy state of the SH Collection should tell you all you need to know, they don't give a damn.

Getting ZOE2 to run in 60fps seems like a miracle of programming. That games probably more effects heavy than most modern games.
