Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
OMG HATE U IVY. HATE HATE HATE.

Also isn't White Collar "finishing on it's own terms?" It's getting 8(?) more episodes to round out the last bits of story from the last season and then it's over IIRC?

Are they just left over episodes from Season 10 that hadn't aired?
I honestly don't know what it is. All i know is that one of the episodes has a guest appearance by Kim Kardshian so take that as you will. It sucks since TBS can't give the show any marketing.

I hope Selfie makes it, I thought it would be stupid. But Henry Cho and Amy Pond actually make it kind of cute. Cho should be 100 more successful. He is the Asian Paul Rudd.

I won't lie, I enjoyed it too. Probably because I do like the leads.

Wise choice to put some distance between yourself and this thread, Ivy. Your career is more important than your online persona.

Not leaving GAF. I just don't think, especially given how popular GAF is and how my online persona and GAF persona are very similar, if it's necessarily the best idea for me to continue to contribute to these threads. Where I am now means that I really should back away and try to keep my opinions on certain things to myself.
At least you're not going back and editing all your old posts. lol

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
On another note, I think this is my last year doing the cancellation thread. Not for love of you all, but it seems wise to slowly begin my retirement from TV-GAF. I'll probably still try to lurk as I ween myself off these threads, but that's the long-term plan.

Speaking of which: Graceland over/under on cancellation?

I don't know on this. Graceland never really grabbed me. I finished the first season but not really interested in the second. I thought it would replace Burn Notice USA show (still one of my fav) but it really didn't.

Side Note. I love looking back at previous year premiere commercials. For example, I remember looking at The Blacklist and Hostages and thinking how Hostages looked better (in Commercial) than the Blacklist and oh boy that didn't turn out like how I thought based on early commercials. Also wish Awake was still around. That was an interesting series.

Great OP *clicks subscribe*

FWIW, Firefly is actually my least favorite Whedon series (I don't really count SHIELD since he's not the showrunner).

Really? I can see that. I don't know if any long term tv gaf posters know this, since I've never mentioned it before, but my least favorite Whedon series is Dollhouse.

I didn't know that!

(I think Firefly has the most mismanaged thematic consistency of his four shows)

Exactly this. I enjoyed s1 but the first couple episodes of s2 did nothing for me so I bailed.

I think Graceland will stick around for a Season 3, if only because I don't think there were any new hits in the last crop of USA shows.

Fantastic thread, looking forward to another season of people complaing that: their favorite low rated show got cancelled ("hey, at least there's a chance Netflix/Yahoo/NeoGAF will save my favorite show, right?"), Fox cancels everything, network TV sucks (watch The Good Wife, people!), etc. etc.

TV-GAF won't be the same without you Ivy!

But Fox does cancel everything, i.e. Firefly.

Tucah pls.

Yea that's what I think will happen too. It can't survive on it's quality alone because this season has been a bit of a mess.

Thank god dads got canceled but to you the truth I don't have any clue what fox is doing with their lineup.

Don't really watch many TV shows at all these days since there's nothing that grabs my attention any more that I have to get home to watch (I also have class and/or homework to work on), but I always love lurking in these threads to see what shows do get canned.

TV show threads won't be the same without your 2 cents on the shows but you're a Baten Kaitos: Origins fan so you're cool in my book; never get rid of the iconic Guillo avatar. May godspeed in your Hollywood endeavors my good man. Hopefully you find a worthy successor to take your place.

Is this where we still share impressions of pilots?

I saw Mulaney at Paley Fest, and it was okay. But the lead is so awkward, I imagine this is his first TV show, but it felt like someone acting... and unnatural at that. Sometimes, he just had the weirdest delivery. And watching some of his stand-up part of that seems to be him as well.

You haven't watched Buffy and Angel? What are you waiting for?

They're pretty low down on my list of priorities because there are so many newer shows that I'd rather catch up on first (just started watching Arrow and Brooklyn Nine-Nine and want to eventually catch up on The Good Wife, Downton Abbey, Shameless, etc. etc.)

Also,

Buffy: 144 episodes

Angel: 110 episodes

I thought The Tomorrow People was renewed? Or was that The 100?

The CW has so many samey shows it's hard to keep track of them.

Great thread [and visuals in it]. It's gonna be a wild ride.

This is horseshit.

Now that you're a Hollywood big shot, you're ashamed of us! And don't want it to blow back on you!

Pls don't go, ivy.

Can I get explanation what is his "big shot" position in Hollywood? :)

What's up with SyFy's adaptation of Arthur Clarke's book "Childhood's End"? Is that planned for fall 2015 or maybe even later?

Power through the first season of Buffy -- esp at first, it's shaky stuff. Then definitely watch the second and third seasons. The rest are optional.

(I've never seen Angel either. Probably should.)

Deadline said:
As we scooped last night, Syfy has greenlighted Childhood’s End, a six-hour miniseries based on Arthur C. Clarke’s classic to premiere in 2015.
.

PS: The thread is both hilarious and informative, Ivy. Thanks for putting it together.

S5 of Angel is up there with Buffy S2/3 as my favorite seasons of a Whedon show. Absolutely worth watching (though, like Buffy, the first season is rough).
