Holy Fuck! this is the first Xbox One exclusive that is relevant to my tastes. Looks amazing!

If it doesn't get a PC version i might have to buy an Xbone in '15

Yeah seeing this in good quality made them fears I had in E3 disappear.

Combat looks decent, some nice platforming, cool graphics.

I'm in.

Didn't really phase me until he reached the bridge and that time ripple effect thing happened. That was cool as hell [even though it looks ultra static and the actual gameplay is shallow as fuck].

The concept of this game and the time distortion effects are really cool.

People saying the gameplay looks shallow/boring.

I'd like to know what shooters you're playing that exhibit more combat possibility. I've played the majors this year and last, and I'm not really seeing anything that approaches this.

i dont understand some things, the order get trashed to death and this gets praised to death ?

Both games look to have the same strenghts and the same problems.

Both looking great
Both barely have gameplay.
both have meh shortting gameplay mechanics.

i saw 16 minutes of a dude wakling and climbing shit and most of the time not gameplay , i remember seeing some shooting in a video looking like this but this one i skipped that part, shooting and freezing with the power was meh to watch.

THis. Both games are under my radar, seems interesting too me. Hopefully we will see more gameplay from both soon

It looks just like Uncharted to me, with a gimmick thrown in. If this time manipulation stuff is an actual solid game mechanic then I'll re-consider that opinion.

There seem to be a lote more possibilites with the time mechanics.
Setting up traps with explosions, stopping bullets (further on). I think there are some neat setups you can do. In those demos combat always looks easy but I tink they will not shy away from making encounters tough as nails later on.

looks fantastic.

My issue with it is that all major time manipulation...well, isn't really manipulation at all, since it's scripted events.

Would have liked to be able to freeze time whenever i felt like it (with some limitations of course, like a gauge you have to replenish) and just roam through frozen scenes, pushing people and stuff somewhere else, moving things out of the way etc.
That would have opened up so many gameplay possibilities.
I understand that this would have meant huge game planning problems for the devs, but as it is, time manipulation is more of a gimmick.

Still, very interested in this

Pretty much my thinking everytime I see a new gameplay of Quantum Break

I love third person shooters like but there is no way I am getting an X1 for just one game

Graphics are very clean and I am loving the time puzzles, guess a walkthrough on youtube will do me

Well, arguably one of the best third person shooter franchises will get new games, too: Gears of War.

That's at least two games!

Now that's a system seller (For me). There are good games on Xbox One but none of them gives me that "I want it now" feeling.
When next gen was announced I expected that visually and also in animations, not groundbreaking but in this generation that should be the minimum quality. Few games have good graphics but the poor animation ruins it.

Looks very cool...I get the feeling the time mechanic will be at its most interesting resolving these environmental puzzles, and in combat is basically going to revolve around dishing out special moves. Very impressed with ambition on display.

That's nice...
So is this going to be a thing like in early Forza Horizon threads, where people would stroll in and start bringing up Driveclub because reasons?

Gosh, that level design.

The time powers will hopefully make for combat scenarios being all about flanking and manipulating things, just using cover as respite to recharge the power.

Remedy is still the best when it comes to "sense of place" if anyone knows what I mean.
Alan Wake already had this. Everything looks just like it belongs there, no matter if big machinery or small elements like cables and so on.

Anyone saying it looks shallow is delirious. That could be said about any game on any platform now.

From what I've seen so far Quantum Break looks like a third person FEAR game without psychological horror that is more story driven.

Never played a Remdy game so I could be wrong, either way I play this when I get an Xbox One.

Holy shit this game looks amazing. Also coulda sworn the main character is wearing these

Wrote this game off as a tech, demo a long long time ago, despite not knowing much about it. Haven't been paying attention to any media previews before, but this video has changed my view completely.

I've had this game preordered since it was announced and I get hype with every new footage released. 2015 is shaping up to be amazing and Quantum Break just might be GOTY. I can see this release in Fall, shortly before Halo 5.

Splendid. Expecting this to have the same effect Gears/RE4 did when it came out, everything about this looks quality. One of the best looking games yet.

Watching that made me think how cool it would be to have an actual platformer with time mechanics. Which made me realize I miss having a new PoP sands of time game. :(

Anyway, this looks good. Going by their past history at least the combat should be good fun.
