I want to vote for the party who can do the following:

- Save Canadian businesses from U.S acquisition which are followed by shutdowns (r.i.p Futureshop, Zellers)
- End unemployment
- Make Canada great again

It should also be pointed out that even the way Harper calls elections is fucked up and unfair, even according to our Elections officiant.

Not that it will make a difference.

Harper does what Harper wants, and simply has one of his toadies fall on their sword if it becomes an issue later.

Christian Heritage Party it is then.

Interesting. The last time I took the survey, I got Greens>NDP>Liberal>>>>>CPC.
Doesn't effect my stance any, but interesting to see.

Just fired my updated registration off to Elections Canada, ready to get Harper out of there.

Of course, I don't think anyone in Nova Scotia's voting C this time anyway.

life long Liberal supporter here who voted NDP in the last two elections because they were they best chance at beating the Bloc locally in my riding, beating Gilles Duceppe himself.

in 2011, Gilles Duceppe was sent packing. Wooohooo, finally we can chose to vote betweeen, Left, Center or Right instead of Yes or NO

but Duceppe has returned and is trying to get his old riding back

I wanted to vote Liberal again out of principle but they are in 3rd place in my riding.

Alas, I will be voting NDP again to Block the Bloc and the save democracy from the farce the Bloc is

I want Justin Trudeau to become our next Prime Minister

The new Canadian political landscape, ladies and gentlemen!

Harper's proven that you don't need the media to be successful. It's unfortunate, and it's clearly to the detriment of our political discourse, but Mulcair has seen how well it works for Harper and he's copying it.

Liberal bias in the OP, Trudeau's pic is the most reasonable, and not crazy/insane.

(To clarify, I am being sarcastic)

I may have a bit of a Liberal bias, but Trudeau is pretty photogenic. Even in his craziest pictures -- for example, from his boxing match, after he'd beaten up Brazeau -- he's still ridiculously good looking.

The Bloc is so useless. :/

It's the hair, it's quite nice.

The Bloc is so useless. :/

the biggest problem is that they have the potential to subract NDP and Liberal seat counts that in the end enables the Conservatives.

The Conservative support in Quebec is not threatened by the Bloc, while NDP and Liberal seats are threatened by the Bloc. (like my riding where Duceppe makes his return)

in the end, the Bloc is a Conservative enabler.

I just looked at the platform of the Libertarian Party of Canada and it's not nearly as wacky as I would have hope.

Not even a promise to rename the country "Galtistan"...

I have to hand it to the OP for showing no bias for such a detailed post. I honestly have no idea who he is voting for...
Although this is GAF and not the real world so I'm sure it's not conservative.

Someone just tell me who to vote for when the time comes. Whoever has the best chance of getting rid of Harper/the Cons.

That's all I want in life :/

%90 NDP
%89 Liberal
%88 Green Party

I usually vote for NDP but I'll probably vote Liberal if they are more likely to beat Harper.

Harper needs more pictures with more cats to win a majority again

everything is local, what is your riding?

I'm cautiously optimistic for change come October. My riding has always been Conservative, but I've always voted NDP or Liberal. Maybe my vote will be on the winning side this time.

I'm likely to vote on the NDP.
That said, I have a hilariously impossible wish that if the NDP wins, the Liberals could be the opposition.

Also, there was footage and pics a couple years back of Harper awkwardly trying to do an aboriginal dance with huge pom-poms. People should use that more often if they're able to find it.

Harper's gone beyond that. His success is largely from excluding the media. That way no one can use out-of-context soundbites against him, like "the economy will fix itself."*

Every single time he's made available for Q&A the questions must be submitted ahead of time so he has a bulletproof script to go by. Every single time any member of his party speaks on camera, in parliament or for an interviews, they robotically read from a script, often having nothing to do with the question.

This is one of the most embarrassing examples.

It's really frightening how that party works.

(*Trudeau said something like "If we do this, this, and this, the economy will fix itself", which is a valid statement. But the Conservatives chopped it for their spam-like radio ads, removing all context, to make it sound like he's a buffoon.)

78 days? Wow. that's a long campaigning period!

I mean, it's nothing compared to the US, but longer than here in the UK.

this link above is a projection riding by riding from Too Close To call.

If you are voting Anti-Harper, look in your riding to see who has the best chance of winning.

there is a full riding list. This has not been updated since late July.

In my riding is going like this NDP 1st, Bloc 2nd, Liberals 3rd, Green 4th, Conservatives 5th. The Conservatives are not a threat in my riding but the Bloc is, so this skews my vote into chosing NDP over Liberals because I hate the Bloc

click on the link, track your riding and see who are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and by how much and go from there

Didn't Harper pull out of the leader's debates as well?

Wow, I knew GAF was a liberal site, but I never realized how liberal it was until I saw how pretty much nobody aligns with the Conservatives (which compared to Republicans...). I figured that the results in the US isidewith was so liberal because the US is quite right in general.

I might catch some flak for this, but some part of me wants to see Harper win again just for some laughs. When it comes time for election though, I'll just check my representative in my riding and vote for the conservative or liberal I like the best.

the younger population usually leans left vs an older population of right leaning (fiscal, security, personal freedom),

Amazing OP matthewwhatever.

I know one thing is certain for me, I'm either voting NDP or Liberal. I just can't stand the Conservatives anymore. They have made a mockery of us and Harper must go. So lets get this election underway

Given I now live in the UK, I'd probably root for the NDP - loonie will drop a few percent against USD/GBP if those guys are elected.

Otherwise - will vote Harper and the Conservatives.

All we can do is vote.

I've said it before in a Canadian election post on NeoGAF but the pride of being Canadian is dwindling down over time with Harper at the helm. Canada needs to get back on track for being a leader on social issues instead of trying to be a mini-USA.

That's like wanting to see Rob Ford win again for laughs.
HORRABLE! xD Keep dreaming in your head where it's safer for the rest of Canada lol.

As for me:
